What should Disneyland do for it's 60th? Name one thing.

    I'll start..

I recommend Space Mountain play it's original soundtrack for a period.

    Celebrate it.

What did they do with the 55th?

    Or Walt's 100th?

Do I hear sounds of crickets?

Dear Peoplemover Fans, If you want to see a new attraction that at least mimics the 1967 Peoplemover in a future Tomorrowland remodel, you need to write to the powers-that-be, and let them know. If you don't - Then the next time Tomorrowland is remodeled, you will see a land barren of any "Peoplemover" type attraction.

Re: What should Disneyland do for it's 60th? Name one thing.

on the 6 months leading to the 60th birthday have people sign up for a competition online until all spots are filled. The competition will take place every morning for 10 days leading up to the 60th birthday. The competitors will be let into the park just before 6 am every morning. at 6 am there will be a rope drop right at the train over pass at the entrance to main street marking the beginning of the contest. The contest will be who can ride/watch/do every attraction in the park the fastest while abiding by normal park rules and not having axes to fast passes or single rider lines. the contest will go till noon each day and only take place in DL not DCA.

The amount of people that would be allowed to enter would be enough to slow lines a bit if a person doesn't plan well. but not enough where the park will feel crowded at all. The first person to finish each day will be put in the 60th birthday contest. the people who finish 2nd-20th get put into the next days qualification contest to get another chance to win a spot in the final.

on these days DCA will open at its normal time and DL will open at noon to the public.

on the day of DL 60th birthday the 10 finalist will start their day as if it was an extra magic morning. They will be the first 10 people in the park. They will have till the time both parks close to ride/see/do ever attraction in both parks. the catch with this is it is a normal day at DLR. whatever crowds are there they will have to deal with but they can use fast passes and single rider lines. they will have a cast member accompany them the whole day to chart their progress. the winner will get some sort of prize and some disney title. and all the loosers would have gotten 1- possibly 11 days of an amazing disney experience

    Stipulations on cretin attractions.
disneyland rail road: must go all the the way around; must start on main street

    don't have to do canoes

final day shows don't include things such as fantastic and world of color

don't have to do character meeting attractions such as fantasy fair don't

Highly unlikely this could happen but how cool would it be

    Return Main Street Electrical Parade
Remove movie tie ins in POTC
Bring back original bride in HM
Original Striped Canopies on Jungle Cruise Boats

Mostly wishful thinking, but if I was charge, this is what I would do.

They should just simply clean up the park and hold a 60th anniversary without any gimmicks or tricks or anything. Simple, elegant. While a decadal anniversary is big, it isn't one of the quarter century marks so it isn't as big as the 50th I don't think. Unveil some cleaned up/plussed attractions is cool. But they don't need to go crazy all out hog wild for this. Save that for the 75th.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

Have every attraction open. I will even ignore some chipped paint and filth if they will just return some value to being in the park.

Fully maintain and repair (and upgrade) everything in the park so that absolutely everything looks brand new.

    1. Burn down Innoventions

    2. Offer the random giveaways like they did a few years back. Got a hat and a really nice pin from that, wanted the dream suite though...

    3. Bring back the Hat Box Ghost to HM.

Just a few off the top of my head, thanks for listening..
