I believe it is cancelled if it is really raining.

I have seen Fantasmic! start the show, then a It started raining during the pink elephant segment and they finished the show, however I did notice the stunts on the Colombia were cut and they just ran around the ships deck for that segment. Also it wasn't raining hard it was a step up from a drizzle. I bet though if it had started raining before the show started it would have been cancelled.

It will usually go on with light -moderate rain but without stunts. Although, there is this video of it during heavy rain... Rain cancelling Fantasmic?

Most of Fantasmic is water proof, the only problem is the Pirates scene where they are working with ropes, and water does not work well with ropes. If Disney starts to upgrading the costume characters to the new ones then them might start running into problems.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I was going to buy the premium seating, but not so sure about it if there's a 70% chance of rain and it gets canceled. I probably wouldn't get my money back b/c i would most likely still receive the dessert platter and hot chocolate ect

I've never heard of them NOT refunding a premium seating ticket if the show is cancelled, even if the guest does take the dessert tray and hot chocolate. The main point of the seat after all IS the show..

They normally will just to be safe, but I did see one time where it had rained earlier in the day and they went ahead and ran the show, and Mickey slipped and fell on his bottom right when he was supposed to shoot fireworks out of his hands. I was a little worried that they were on a timer and that they'd still go off but thankfully they didn't and the rest of the show went off without any problems.

They also note over the introduction that you will get wet during a rainy Fantasmic!.

Friday and Saturday there will be fairly heavy rain so I wouldn't bet on it showing then.
