Re: Avengers ride coming to Tomorrowland?

For instance, if this Marvel Land is built i think that the Armaggedon attraction is probably doomed and would be replaced by a new ride - why not the Avengers ride on which WDI Imagineers are supposed to be working on for Disneyland's Tomorrowland - if it's not moved to an Anaheim third gate?
    This is old news.

As soon as the co. purchased Marvel ... the rumors starting running like mad .. that Innoventions was due to become Stark EXPO. Killing off the Tron Light Cycle plan.

But since then ... Disney purchased Lucas Film .. and then the rumors started swirling that Marvel was OUT .. .and a "Star Wars" themed attraction was IN.

NOW ..... Star Wars rumors are fading to obscurity .. especially now .. since the rumored Sub Closure was all bogus!

So ... lets just say Imagineering is working on an Avengers/Marvel Attraction ... I bet they are working on concepts. That's their role ... Coming up with ALL SORTS of proposals. But just because they are working on proposals ... doesn't mean any one of them are going to get the green light. And we don't know where these proposals may land. Don't forget - There are 6 Disney Resorts. No telling where something will land.

I don't know about the rest of you .... but this game of musical chairs between Marvel, Tron, Star Wars, and ANYTHING else ... is getting nauseating! Get me off this constant game of one thing is in .. then it's out .. then it's in again ... then it's out again ... then back in again ... back out ... and on .. and on .. and on!

Dear Peoplemover Fans, If you want to see a new attraction that at least mimics the 1967 Peoplemover in a future Tomorrowland remodel, you need to write to the powers-that-be, and let them know. If you don't - Then the next time Tomorrowland is remodeled, you will see a land barren of any "Peoplemover" type attraction.

Management needs a giant Mickey Mouse hand to slap them upside the head every once in a while. Thinking of putting more Star Wars in Tomorrowland? BAD! :::thwap::: Closing a dark ride to create a Princess meet-and-greet? BAD! :::thwap::: Leaving the Peoplemover tracks to rot for 14 years? UNACCEPTABLE!! ::thwap-thwap-thwap:::

Currently, Imagineers aren't working on ANYTHING (other than Avatar leftovers).

So they really are on a freeze for new work? Have you heard that from sources other then Miceage?
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

Disney did announce somewhere that they would be adding Hulk and Iron Man to the Avenger Meet N Greet list to join Thor and eventually Captain America. So I do have a feeling that the horrible mess called Innoventions will be around for a while, but other than that I have not heard about any more Marvel plans for Tomorrowland.

An 'Avenger ride in TL' might just be the Iron Man ride coming to Hong Kong DL and nothing else.

On the Innoventions first floor, I can just imagine Disney cloning the Hong Kong Iron Man ride for Disneyland but theming it to the Avengers instead. Great cross promotional value for the Avengers 2: Age of Ultron movie coming out next year. And maybe putting more permanent sets for the character meet and greets on the second floor of the building.

We have to get through the 60th before there's any sort of chat about new rides. Plus, given how popular M&G's are at Disneyland? It'll be awhile before they move those.
