    Visiting First Week In June

We are looking at visiting Disneyland/DCA June 2,3,4 (Mon-Wed). We chose early June hoping that most SoCal schools won't be out yet. There are no AP blackouts on these dates (good thing or bad thing?), but there is a grad night at DCA on the 4th. What kind of crowds should we expect? Will the grad night mostly effect DCA crowds or both?

It's not great, but not a bad time to visit for crowds. Some school are out but not all, so it's not yet summer busy.

Sunday the 1st will be busy because it's a weekend day.

The 4th will be busy too. Especially on the bigger rides, that the teens will gravitate to. As the day goes on more schools will arrive. They will be in both parks. Make this your day, you don't plan to get a lot done.

I went last year on one of the days when grad nite was going to be held. The lines and crowds will get crazy cuz students now are able to go to both parks until their closing and then stay at DCA for the rest of night..

The party, 11pm to 3am is in DCA. They get park hoppers to use during the day.

Be aware that both Matterhorn and space mountain will be closed during this time.

The Grad nite day will be our third day, so most likely will be in Disneyland finishing up whatever we missed the first day. We have two little girls, ages 7 and 4 1/2, so hopefully the grads won't be interested in the same attractions?

Keep in mind that many schools in the area actually do finish up on that Thursday or Friday. So there may be more crowds than there have been in the past that week.

Re: Visiting First Week In June

Grad Nights affect both parks because the kids are now allowed in all day and can park hop. Be prepared for lines, crowds, loud teens, rude teens, hyper teens, annoying teens, large groups, etc..

I experienced Grad Nights last year and swore never again. I won't even consider visiting in the month of May or June as a result. Unless the rules are tighter this year than they were last year all I can do for people going into the park with the teens is to wish you good luck. Try and keep your patience.

Re: Visiting First Week In June

I have visited in May before, and I am planning another May/June trip. I found no problem with the Graduates. I decided to go during this time again, because the weather was marvelous, and there was a full schedule of events. Fireworks, Parades, and very few rides not operating.
