If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.

Yeah, there's this really cool thing in the park, but you don't get to go there. Only important people get to.

    bah.
To be fair, it was in service for regular guests for quite some time. It's sad that it's no longer accessible but for preservation purposes it's probably better this way.

I never got to ride, but was always on "my list"..... oh well, now I'll have to join Club 33.
Do not pull down on the safety bar please; I will lower it for you.

Not necessarily "important" people, just ones with more money than the average guest to DL.
And for me as well, there's one less thing for us to do on our trip this summer, or the future unless they reverse the decision, but I can't recall them reversing what the public sees as a bad decision.

Its not about giving a benefit to club members, its about not having the staff to effectively escort people on the car now that it has been restored. The way it was written smacks of sensationalism.

So glad we got to ride it when we did. It was the wife and my 10th wedding anniversary, and our 4 year old's birthday. So sad we'll not get to do it again. I'm sure the Mark Twain is next.

And the last possible entry in that guest ledger...

If all they cared about was preservation they could have decommissioned it and donated it to a number of museums that would love to have it. This is about being cheap and taking away something else from the average guest.

You know…the Mickey in us.

I got to ride in the Lilly Belle in 2008. It was a surprise from a MiceChatter friend. I did get a Lilly Belle ticket. I will have to look for the picture that I have of that.

I'll be putting our tickets in a frame... a lasting memory which we won't get to do again unless I pony up for a VIP tour...

Re: The Lilly Belle returns! but not for everyone

I have seen cast members verbally assaulted as well when they told guests that they couldn't accommodate them on the Lilly Belle (generally due to staffing)

I too have been told that theft and damage were a problem (that makes me sad!)

If you want a "special" ride there are still two other cool options - Riding in the caboose (just don't do it on a hot day!) or a tender ride. Both very cool experiences other than a general train ride which is still one of the best rides in all the park (in my humble opinion.)

Those patrons should have been ejected from the park.
