Re: What's on your "Must Do" list?

Including DCA, as it has one thing I refuse to skip, and a few 'general' experiences as well:

    • Grand circle tour on the Disneyland Railroad
    • Pirates Of The Caribbean
    • Haunted Mansion
    • Snack break inside the Tiki Room (a bottled soda and pickle does nicely, or the garlic bread twist from Fantasy Fair)
    • Tower Of Terror
    • A ride on the Mark Twain
    • Snow White's Scary Adventures
    • A slow walk down Big Thunder Trail as near to park closing as possible
when the spooks have a midnight jamboree....

Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates.

And since the addition of DCA - Tower of Terror

Re: What's on your "Must Do" list?

    Disneyland Railroad
    Disneyland Monorail
Big Thunder Mountain (have not done this one in a while due to refurb)
    Space Mountain
    Enchanted Tiki Room
    Soarin' Over California
    Radiator Springs Racers
    Star Tours: The Adventures Continue
    It's a Small World

These rides I've managed to hit every single time I'm there (except for being closed for refurbishment) while there are others that I haven't gone on in quite literally years like Dumbo, Astro Orbiter, Snow White, etc...
"Hello folks, welcome aboard the Disneyland Railroad..."
"The Gods have been angered by all the celebratin'..."

Re: What's on your "Must Do" list?

    My list has changed.
I grew up watching reruns of the Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday evenings in the early 1970’s.
The intro included clips of audio animatronics from attractions at Disneyland.
The Jungle Cruse, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Enchanted Tiki room, Great moments with Mr. Lincoln…etc.
Therefore going to Disneyland meant seeing these images for myself. To experience Disneyland meant rides with audio animatronics.
It took 26 years before my fist visit to Disneyland and I have been a dozen or more times to DLR and WDW. So when I ride these attractions…I feel like I have won. I feel like I am 8 years old and I have won the biggest prize in the cereal box.
I still enjoy the three “must do’s” for me…The Jungle Cruse, Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion. (regular NOT NBC overlay)
But recently …my “must do” is purchasing popcorn from a cart at the hub in front of Sleeping Beauties Castle, walking back down Main Street USA and sitting on a bench in Town Square.

There's much to be said for taking it slow and enjoying Disneyland just being around you.

Re: What's on your "Must Do" list?

For the last couple of months our twins are going with this loop:

*Tiki Room=always first, always a must!
*Jungle Cruise=this started during the Jingle Cruise
    *(Sometimes Pirates)
    *Haunted Mansion
    *Winnie the Pooh
*Pooh Corner(Mile Long Bar) to get a yummy treat from the bakery
*Splash Mt. or Canoes(for the twin that won't ride splash)=This will start again with warmer weather
    *Big Thunder Mt. Railroad=Just added
    *Matterhorn
*Small World=Will return to the rotation when it's open and it is always a must!
*Shopping at any store or cart can be added at any time.
