I agree. The one thing about 2 is that it is rougher and I tend to get a bit quesey on it.
Your not the only one. I think they have some slight syncing issues between the video and the movement. I have been in incredibly rough boat and planes and so long as I am able to see out the front I never get sick, but the Star Tours is about the only thing I can nearly depend on making me feel queasy every time.
Apparently they used to have the same problem years ago at EPCOT with the Body Wars attractions. FOr those who don't know, Body Wars used the identical simulator for a trip through the human body. However, every single time I rode it I would get that queazy feeling. Any longer and I would have gotten sick. I spoke to an imagineer once about it and he said there was some kind of programming issue that made people sick. It sounds like what you're describing, Mackster.
I think if I had never been on any of them, I would prefer the OG Star Tours to the new version, but having been on the OG probably 50 times, I like the new one now. I do hope they update it agan with new randomized destinations once the next trilogy comes out.

I have an ENORMOUS affinity for the original. (See my signature.) That said, the revamp is done so well, that I love it just as much. They kept so much of the spirit of the original, while still keeping it fresh. The only part I'm kind of "meh" about is the Coruscant sequence, because it doesn't feel like much happens in it except random flying around.
