Re: How to become the Rebel Spy on Star Tours

A friend of mine was chosen as the Rebel Spy on the first time we went on the ride together. She hadn't done anything at all; we were sitting in the middle of the row and I don't recall that any of us interacted with a CM in any way. It was just her good luck. I've been on the ride a ton of times since then, but have never been chosen.

I actually managed to find the camera used to take pictures for the Rebel Spy, and I was the Rebel Spy! It was great. I was actually shouting at C-3PO as if I were actually in-universe.

I would prefer knowing how NOT to become the Rebel Spy.

I don't like being the center of attention.

Put the 3-d glasses on as soon as you sit down or keep your head down if you don't want to be picked.
BTW, I have seen people picked all over the place on that ride. Middle, first row, top row, center, sides. It doesn't matter. When my husband was picked we were about center row and he was 4 seats from the exit doors.

Indeed. My partner was wearing a "1st Visit" badge when she was featured as the Rebel Spy. I thought it was awesome, she did not like having the attention.

My suggestion in the first post, is obviously not the ONLY way a Rebel Spy is chosen for a flight, but one that I have seen be successful twice.

Re: How to become the Rebel Spy on Star Tours

It seems like the majority of the time the Spy is in the back row when I ride. I was chosen once and they caught a good glare on me (I was super annoyed with some obnoxious girls screaming "I'M STILL GETTING USED TO MY PROGRAMMING!" over and over)
