so how will this May 4th AP contest work?

there will be 2,500 winners, each can take one guest. Looks like I have pretty good odds since both me and my wife are registered (with no kids).
So if all APs are not registered my odds get even better.
But I noticed today that you must be 18 or over....great! Increases my odds even more! ....or does it?
Do you think the 2500 are just sent at random and if you happen to be under 18 that's too bad? Also, the tickets are suppossedly non-transferable--how will they handle that?
If an AP wins and can't go due to distance or whatever, will they give someone else a chance or just send them the alternate prize?
I wonder how many of the 2500 are actually going to be able to go!

Any ideas on how this whole thing will work?

I kinda read the official rules of the contest, so I'll try and answer according to what I understand from it.

You must be registered online at disneyland.com/ap in order to be chosen. Only those AP holders that are over 18 may register online, therefore noone under 18 will be chosen. If contacted, but cannot go, they MAY or MAY NOT choose an alternate winner. (there was conflicting info on that in the official rules). I'm pretty sure if you win, they will print your name on your ticket/admission stub so that noone else can use it. You probably would have to show your Annual Pass as well.

I'm 17 and I'm registered online... If they pick me and I can't go I'll be so devestated. What if the person I took is over 18? Does that count?? haha...

Gosh, and I turn 18 on June 3... talk about a tough break

I'm 17 as well, I'll seriously be terribly sad if I get picked then can't go.

I spoke with someone who works the AP center. You do not have to register on line. It would be eaiser if you did ... but if you cannot get to a computer there is antoher way! If Disneyland has your e-mail address on file (ex: you gave it to them when you first got your AP and so they have it on file) then you are automaticaly entered into the contest! If you are not sure and you still cannot get to an computer A) HOW ARE YOU READING THIS GO REGISTER NOW B) Go to the AP Center and tell the cast member behind the computer your e-mail address and then you are SET!

What, no one has heard? The contest is cancelled! No need for anyone else to sign up and register. No need to tell your friends and family to sign up. It's all over folks. Move on, nothing to see here...

I just know that if I don't win and have to read all the hundreds and hundreds of posts of those who did win--I'm going to be sick to my stomach...

If the contest is off, they need to take it off their website... Other wise they can be sued for fraud...
