You want normal, act normal!
Most of the time they DON'T want one with them. The problem is that Johnny Depp might be able to go unnoticed in line for Space Mountain for...oh...10 minutes. But the moment someone recognized him, people would MOB him and while most Guests are very respectful and would back off if asked to, many would not. Now you have the poor guy trapped in the middle of the queue with no way out, and YOUR child just got knocked to the ground by some teenage girl clamoring to get to Johnny. So Johnny's not enjoying his day, you and your child aren't, and it's only going to get uglier.

The idea that these people are "just getting a plaid so they get to skip the lines" is not only wrong, it's frankly ridiculous. If you don't believe that people wouldn't leave them alone and let them have a normal day at Disneyland, just look at the fact that there are more than 100 pages on a thread about "I SAW A CELEBRITY AT DISNEYLAND!". I'm not saying it's a bad thing - it's perfectly natural to be excited and want to share when you run into someone you look up to. But you HAVE to admit that there are legitimate reasons for needing a tour guide other than thinking they're more important than everyone else.

Well said! Every time I've seen a celeb with a plaid, the celebs have always been dressed really down to earth, and I've waved, or said hi to a few in passing, and they've always been courteous to smile, and say hello, or wave back. The plaids are only there as a "barrier" to keep the guests at bay from them, and to avoid mass chaos of a fan mob ensuing, and sadly, it's the best way for them to be there. Either way, I'm glad to see them at the Happiest Place on Earth.

Hint: Look for the Plaid - and then figure out who they're with. Works for me...

I grew up here, I'm not quite at "Ho Hum, it's a Celeb." but I'm close.

I've seen (maybe 3 years ago) Steve Valentine
("Crossing Jordan", episode of "Monk" and recently "Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie")

A few ppl went up to him, but not many.
Not a star struck person, so I just saw him from a far.
I did like the show "Crossing Jordan" though.

just saw Nicholas Cage. He and friend were a few rows behind us at the 5:30 pm Captain EO show, they went in a private entrance, sat in the back with a few Disney escorts. As they left the theater, he let a few people take pix with him.

I know that guy, I recognize him from a Charmed episode. I'm still semi-convinced that I saw Kate Blanchett in Dowtown Disney about 3 years ago. I also saw one of of the movie surfers when I went in '07. She was in the car ahead of me on Matterhorn.

Nic, barely visable, next to a CM and sitting behind his son Weston (flex).
