I know I am a little behind the times here but on the 15th I saw and got to talk to John Lasseter briefly. He was with his family at Radiator Springs Racers first thing in the morning on the opening. He got in the car-set right ahead of us. The cool thing was that after the ride when he got out with his family and was talking to Disney Execs I accidentally bypassed the photo area for our photo. On my way back up the stairs everyone comes crashing down because the very nice Disney ambassador lady cleared everyone out of the photo room, except my girlfriend who was already in an interaction with one of the RSR Photo CM's. Luckily I was allowed up to the counter, and then next to us John came up to get his photos surrounded by Disney people so as people came off the ride no one else could enter the photo area.
Long story short I knew it was a once in a life time opportunity, so I asked how he was doing and told him how proud my grandfather who was present during the opening in 1955 would have been for the ride. He was very gracious and said thank you and appreciated my comments. I don't know when I would have the opportunity to say hello to John again, so I took my chance and was polite. I have had to many of those opportunities where I wish I would have said something go by, did not want this to be added to the list.
"I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing ... That it was all started by a mouse ... and inspired by a rabbit."
Just saw Brent Spiner, Data from Star Trek The Next Generation. Amazingly, dressed identically as he was when I saw him about a year ago.
No, not the lady with the baby. He was with the plaid. Funny thing is, the first one who caught my eye was the very attractive young lady escorting him. Had he not been with her, I probably never would have spotted him.
Considering how you and I first met, I found great amusement in your story.
A little late but Jerry Springer was in carsland with his family on Tuesday June 19th. They were coming out of Radiator springs racers when we were waiting in the Single Rider line. A small but boisterous crowd nearby started yelling Jerry Jerry Jerry. He waved.
I definitely saw Keith Richards getting off of Pirates of the Caribbean back in February! He was just relaxing in the back of the boat, whole row to himself. He was getting off as I was getting on, but it was so exciting!
I've ran into Holly Madison more than once, too. Very sweet and approachable! She had no problem signing autographs for all of the little kids that came up to her.
We saw Richard Harrison, "The Appraiser" from the History Channel's Pawn Stars on June 6th. Actually, I had no idea who he was, but my son was stoked. He rode right past us on the ramp by the Hungry Bear bathrooms.
My friends saw Brian Austin Green (Beverly Hills 90210) and Megan Fox at DCA on the 4th of July.
Actually, they didn't see them. Until a friend sent them this link from E! Online. A friend was looking at the site, and saw our mutual friends in the background! We all got a good laugh out of that.
The same friend did see Holly Madison later on the 4th at DCA. As my friend said, "I was talking to my sister and I saw this blonde woman in a conservative dress (kinda like the early 50’s). She was posing with the new statue of Walt Disney in California Adventure. I told my sister I know her from somewhere and she said oh yea that’s Holly Madison."
Sure, friend of mine. I "know her from somewhere." Yeah, I believe that!
We saw Nick Cage at the Haunted Mansion 40th Event he was actually in front of us on the escalator with the mini bride leaving the ride...He seemed cool did not mind people acknowledging him...Saw the Blonde Girl from the Spice girls many years ago she was rude.. Saw Cuba gooding Jr. with his family I assume next to thunder mountain with a guide a few years ago he seemed nice I heard him offer to buy the guide an ice cream.
