It's been a long time since my wife and I have seen any celebrities at Disneyland, but we saw two different musicians today.
The second one we saw was Psy of "Gangnam Style" fame. He had an entourage and a plaid with him. He was in Tomorrowland this afternoon.
Shortly before we saw him, though, we "ate lunch" with Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale. (Okay, we were eating at Coke Corner when they showed up and ate there, too).
Here's a couple of bad cell phone pics, because I didn't want to be "that guy" and get up close and take a photo:
Here's the entire store I just shared on Facebook:
We were sitting down at Coke Corner for lunch. My wife noticed her right away. She was with her family (sister? husband, kids, nephew, and father?). She had a "plaid" with her (Disneyland tour guide).
Gwen and her kids walked away to get some cotton candy. They walked past us to get back to their table after getting their cotton candy. Her oldest son was so excited. He stopped and looked right at me with these big eyes, and was like "do you see this cotton candy?" And I said to him "wow! That's awesome!"
A minute or two later, Gwen walks by us. My wife smiled at her, and waved at her. Gwen smiled a very nice smile and waved back.
Classy on her part. She recognized that we knew who she was, and that we were going to leave her alone, and smiled back at us as if to say, "thanks for letting me have a normal day with my kids at Disneyland."
It didn't look like anyone else recognized them (that was sitting in Coke Corner). A few minutes later, Mickey and Aladdin walked into our area, and walked right past them to get back stage. There was a whole bunch of "wow! It's Mickey! Hi Mickey!" I thought it was really cool that Mickey was the center of attention.
(I gotta say, she is a beautiful woman!)
I didn't realize it at the time, but her husband is Gavin Rossdale. I have no idea who that is, but he was with them. I'm told he's a pretty famous singer, too.
