Re: Celebrity sightings @ DLR (Merged)

I saw Tony Baxter last week at CES in Vegas, (I know it was not at DLR - but since he is such a DL celeb I found it worth mentioning)

I saw Maynard yesterday, my first sighting of him ever. I know, not really a celebrity in the traditional sense, but I was still starstruck to the point of shyness!

Who saw Stevie Wonder at DL today?

I know I did! It was pretty cool. My sister and I walked right past him on the way back from the special assistance entrance/exit to Space Mountain. She didn't even notice him, but I saw him. He was accompanied by a group of people (I assume his family) and once they got off the ride a lot of people started taking pictures. Some guy (who might have been a bodyguard, he wasn't a really big guy) started letting a few people take pictures with him, but he left right before I could get one. I did take some photos though, I'll post them when I put up my very first trip report when I get home (very excited about that).

Anybody else see the "My Cheri Amor" man?

Brenda Strong (Desperate Housewives and a ton of TV guest appearances) was with family members and a plaid at a Jedi Training Academy session this afternoon. They all seemed to be having a good time.

Well, my excitement over FINALLY winning something from YOAMD (2008 blue dream ears...yeah) just got completely shot to heck! I cannot believe that with all the walking around the park I did today I missed seeing Stevie Wonder!

I was there from 9-2, was it then or later?

I'm not sure how long he was there, but our space encounter was really close to closing time, about 10:45.

I'm glad to see that someone else had the audaciousness and bad taste to ask a question like that or I might have had to do it.

Stevie's wonder dog probably barks up the wrong tree all the time.

I was there yesterday and didn't see him. :-(

I did stop by the Jedi Training Academy and noticed I was standing next to a plaid which sometimes means there is a celeb closeby, but I couldn't see one.
