Re: Disneyland Ticket Prices To Increase SUNDAY NIGHT at Midnight

Certainly what the poster is suggesting is that any Premium passes sold from, say, Sunday on would be subject to blockout dates, not that suddenly everyone with Premium passes would have them added to their pass.

The SoCal passes either need to disappear, or they should start at the current Deluxe price.

Or have there be only a single level at the $800 price point, with a $1,200 bi-coastal pass.

Exactly. And as long as they can keep packing the park to capacity despite the price increases they will.

The wording on this has me a bit confused - Sunday night at midnight is in a couple hours, technically. So is it actually Monday at midnight?

Every time someone trots out the "well, people can't afford Disney now, it's so expensive!" excuse, one only has to look at the crowds in the park to know it's absolute bull.

If it's too expensive for you, don't go. No one is holding a gun to your head; you are choosing to pay, so obviously it's not "too expensive" for you.

If I were Main Gate I'd hate to be working on a max capacity day and turn away a family that came from halfway across the world. Of course, this is all speculation until we see the ticket booth prices.

For us days like these we avoid for that very reason. I have 1 day off work which is wednesday and we'll make a day out of it. Or maybe a quick trip after work on another week day. We avoid weekends for the most part except for very rare "just cause" trips.

I noticed SoCal shows NOT AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE on the website but SoCAl Select shows ok to purchase.

Anyone know what this may mean and can you see the same thing ?

Very interesting that they got rid of blockout day passes. I wonder if one of their next steps will be to not include parking with the premium pass.

Well, I got my answer. It was actually midnight Sunday morning, and the price hike is here. Bummer.

Not surprised they increased prices, makes sense for them to do so if they can. I personally could afford to go to Disneyland more often, but I choose not to pay the prices being charged, so I just do other stuff now instead, just being 1 person though, makes no difference to Disney....But other places like the SD Zoo benefit as my money goes there now instead along with other places in San Diego.

Re: Disneyland Ticket Prices To Increase SUNDAY NIGHT at Midnight

5 day parkhopper is now $305.

Deluxe Annual Pass is now $519.

I definitely need to rethink how I want this to work for me. Next year I want to return to Disneyland, in anticipation of any possible 60th celebration. My husband is telling me to take one long vacation. A lot is dependent on the availability of the timeshare hotel that I usually stay at.

I am sure this latest price increase will negatively effect a lot of people's vacation planning.

I get that it sucks, and that it's a harsh reminder of the "corporate" realties at play here, and that at least part of it is psychological, but if the pass price rising $20 - $30 makes it absolutely unimaginable and unattainable for you, then you probably weren't in the financial place to be paying the old price, either.
