Re: Disneyland Ticket Prices To Increase SUNDAY NIGHT at Midnight

It looks like they have eliminated the So Cal AP. That was my families type of pass. Thanks for giving us the boot Disney. We're done.

Well, I saved $30 buy buying my AP, but lost $25 by not buying 5-day PH for the rest of my family... I guess its pretty much a wash.

I don't think so since a price increase is shown on Disney.com. I'd bet there's just some kind of computer glitch that they need to fix. I can't imagine they'd post an increase if they were discontinuing them. They'd just delete them from the website.

edit: Well, unless they had to do that to keep the So Cal block out calendar online since there will be So Cal APs active for awhile.

not a glitch - it was planned - Taken from the fine print on the Disney web site.
Pass types are limited in quantity and may not be available.

Well, based on your screen name sounds like you would know! Interesting. But I expect that we won't see any impact on crowds due to increased block out days for awhile since there is probably a large number still out there. I'd think that by next summer (2015), with the pass elimination & no block out tix there may be a difference.

The other little factoid that will probably get some people pretty twisted is that they have eliminated the "Block out ticket" for pass holders as well.

Interesting. I interpreted that text as meaning they've currently sold as many of the SoCal passes as they intend to, for a certain period of time until X number of renewals expire. Not necessarily that they're eliminating it entirely, just that they have limits on how many they want out there at any given time, which I still find interesting if they are currently "sold out" on that level.

This is all just a step to put a waiting list on all AP types.... They won't sell any more until a current holder fails to renew.

you could be right. I do know that they consider that pass to be oversold so maybe it is temporary. but for how long? don't know.

Yup, I was going to buy a Deluxe Ap, not use it till August 2014 and then get Blackout tickets for the 60th birthday. Now I'm looking at multi-day packages.
