    Best deserts to buy?

Which ones would you take home? Like the nice shops that sell the deserts, what are good to take home and savor later?
Usually when we go we have to have like 19 churros each.

I like the Mojave Desert best, but sometimes I take home the Sahara or Sonoran.

Hehe I see what you did there

I don't often take home stuff from DL (I pig out while I'm there!). I have taken home a caramel apple once, and a cupcake. Both were delicious!

At that store just past the Winnie the Pooh ride where they have candy apples, etc, I really like this thing that I believe is called a Peanut Butter Bar. It looks like it'd just be peanut butter covered in chocolate and therefore just way too sticky and peanut buttery. But there's something in the middle, I think a graham cracker that makes it really good and the right mix of all the ingredients.

^^^ Sounds like the chocolate covered peanut butter sandwich. I have a photo of it posted in my trip report - you can confirm if I'm right!

That sounds like the one. I've only gotten it twice but it was so good.

the caramel\candy apples travel great. One even made it back to Seattle for this last trip.

On my final visit as a passholder , I tried the Matterhorn Macaroon for the first time. Fabulous! Who says that passholders do not spend money at the park!

Carmel corn, chocolates (like the turtles), and the Mickey ice cream bars or sandwiches!

To be honest the only one I see there that is truly unique to DL and I can't find better and cheaper elsewhere is the Dole Whip.... We've had all sorts of deserts from the state fair variety funnel cakes to the chi-chi fancy stuff because the kids continually ask for them... and sadly even if they were reasonably priced I would rather have my desserts from other places than DL... they just don't really do great desserts.

Fortunately there are a few ice cream shops scattered here and there that offer Dole Whips, so you don't have to go to Disneyland to get one. You can do a search on Yelp to find them.

Disneyland used to have a Fantasia ice cream or gelato, and a 2-flavor Slurpee-like drink called Tinkerbell Twist, but unfortunately I think both are long-gone.

It's never ocurred to me to try to bring any food home from the parks...hmm, something to consider.
Anyway, I've brought it up in other threads but the Honey-Lemon Cupcake from Hungry Bear is my absolute favorite! It has a ton of frosting that I usually end up scraping off but the cake and lemon filling are so nom nom nom!

How the heck do you get the ice cream home without it melting?
