Hi all! Long-time lurker on these boards but now I finally have a reason to post something myself!
This June my daughter is having a bat-mitzvah in Disneyland. One of the activities we have planned for the younger kids is a scavenger hunt inside of the Magic Kingdom portion of Disneyland. The kids will tromp all over the park stopping at different checkpoints and receiving small prizes culminating with fastpass tickets to the World of Color that evening!
The theme of the hunt is that the Disney villains have stolen the colors of the rainbow in an attempt to ruin the World of Color spectacle that evening. They will have to follow a clue leading them to a locations where and adult will be waiting with a crayon and an coloring sheet. After coloring in the item, they will get another clue and be on their way.
For instance, Captain Hook has stolen Jack Sparrow's gold and turned it white! The kids will follow a yet-to-be-written cheesy poem/clue to the outside of Pirates of the Caribbean where they will get a yellow crayon to color in a picture of the stolen gold.
My problem is that I can't think of any decent item that a Disney character uses that is purple. I need the help of all of the Disneyphiles out there to come up with plausible suggestions of useable items. Also scenarios with who stole the item and where in the park it might be found would be helpful.
Incidentally, the other items and colors I am using so far are:
Yellow - Pirate gold
Red - Beast's Rose
Blue - Mickey's Sorcerer's Hat
Green - Yoda's Lightsaber
Orange - A pumpkin to help Huey Dewey and Louie (outside the Haunted Mansion)
If you have any suggestions for the other colors as well that would be great, but mostly I'm stuck on purple. Remember, the hunt is confined to the Magic Kingdom, so California Adventure suggestions won't be useful.
Btw, my apologies to indigo (the red(indigo?)-headed stepchild of the color spectrum. I guess regular crayon boxes don't contain indigo and finding an indigo Disney item would be way harder than even the purple one.
