Drunk pirate on bridge with muddy foot - it's clean now!

One of my fun moments on Pirates is going under the bridge where the drunken pirate with the muddy foot (next to the pirate with the pigs) has it dangling down over the boats. The mud on his foot always looked wet like it could drip on you at any second. Well I noticed since the last refurb the muddy foot is now clean! Anyone else notice this?

(Also please finally bring back the third singing Pirate with the donkey, he is missed!)

I'll take a closer look on my next visit, but I can't recall seeing much hair or dirt on the hairy leg pirate's leg/foot whenever I've ridden in the last year.

This is the pirate I mean. To me on my last two post refurb visits his foot looked clean.

The Magic Kingdom version is very dirty and hairy, Disneyland's is comparatively clean and lacking hair.

I noticed it yesterday. I also noticed that Blackbeard still isn't being projected in the mist before the boat - fort battle. I haven't seen him since March 2012. I thought it was a broken projector. Now I think it's intentional. Then the shadow sword fight on the wall looked horrible. I almost forgot, The black cat needs more light!! The ride feels too dark, whether I ride it in the day or at night.

Thank you! That bridge pirate has had a clean foot for years now. I really miss the sense that the mud could have dripped right on you at any given moment. I still look up to see if it has been returned to its muddy state every ride-through!

That's strange. Last time we were there, it was working.

Yes, the shadow fighters effect is dodgy again. It was fixed for a while before the refurb. I agree that the lighting level is too low. It's apparent in the cat scene since you can't really see the cats.

Bummer. They have a hard enough time keeping the park clean and now they go and clean something they weren't suppose to??? Must have been someone on the Disney College program...

    Big D,
That is not only funny, but ironic as my daughter is heading off to Cal Poly Pomona. She might look to Disneyland for a job. We've gone to the parks for years and notice changes constantly.

The projection now is only Davy Jones.
Some time ago it used to vary from Davy Jones to Blackbeard to Barbosa, but now it is only Davy Jones.

Yes, I've been commenting on his absence in this thread:

Ugh... who's flash photographing on pirates? That should be a blacklist-able offense IMHO.
