    California Adventure: the photo tour.

Basically put, in recent times, there's been a ton of detail layered into areas of DCA that didn't necessarily have it before and some have always been strong - so this thread will have photos I've taken, grouped by general area.

We start off of course with the entry and Buena Vista Street:

Sadly, this charming window display has been scuttled off to Yesterland...

Anyone know who this particular gentleman is, depicted inside Big Top Toys? Doesn't look familiar from either Disney history or the DCA imagineering/overhaul team that I can recall....

I always love your photos. You always seem to get the small details that get looked over.

Where is that South Seas Club poster? That's the fourth Rocketeer reference I know of, although I've never seen it.

It's in the glorified Starbucks/Fiddler Fifer and Practical Cafe.

In Elias and Co., one of the mannequins is wearing Seacord's jacket.

There is also a flyer on a bulletin board for Bigelow's Flying Air Circus, which is of course the outfit Cliff was a mechanic/pilot for in the film.

    Beautiful photos!!!

I've always been a fan of DCA because I do feel like they've taken care to do a lot of detail work. It's very immersive.

Re: California Adventure: the photo tour.

The first time I went to DCA was just as it first opened. I can say that I was completely underwhelmed.

I returned for the first time in 10 years back in March, and was wonderfully surprised. I love the new look of the park, and while I still find the layout of the park a bit awkward (I still am not particularly fond of the Midway as it still seems to generic, and not 'DISNEY!') I think I took 10 to 1 photos compared to Disneyland on this trip, just to enjoy the details
