    Character wig in Disneyland

Does anyone know what the policy is for wearing a character wig in Disneyland? My daughter and I were thinking of wearing a Snow White and Ariel wig. Nothing crazy. No costumes, just a wig. Do you think we'd make it past the gate?

Kids can wear anything they want. Adults cannot resemble a character so much that it would confuse the small children visiting the parks. AKA, why Disneybounding became a thing. But just a wig should be fine. So a wig should be just fine.

Thanks. I thought the same thing but my daughter has reservations about wearing one. She's an adult and doesn't want to get there only to be told that she can't wear it.

I think it's a 50/50 call if you can wear them. I do know some people who wore their wigs (the anime style that looks like living dolls...can't think of the name). They didn't wear the dresses, but did have the wigs on and were told that they would have to remove them.

An Ariel and Snow White wig should be fine, I'm not even sure a cast member would realize it is not you real hair.

I don't think it would be a problem at all.

Since character hats (like the Goofy hat with the long ears, or the Maleficent horns) and mickey ears are fine I'm sure there's no problem with a wig. Just keep in mind how hot that wig might get during the day, especially if you're going anytime soon... the heat and humidity has been killer lately.

This. It's amazing how hot your head can get under a wig. Depending on how dense the weave on the wig is, it can feel like wearing a winter hat, especially if you've got a wig cap on underneath. For just a fun day at the park, I'd definitely rather do a comfortable Disneybound outfit and no wig (All bets are off for the Halloween party, of course ).
If you want to try wigs, though, you should be fine. Worst-case scenario, the CMS tell you you can't wear them, and you have to take the wigs to your car/hotel, and come back. Annoying, but not a huge issue. You just might want to bring a bag into the park that you can put the wigs into if they become too uncomfortable or bothersome throughout the day.
Whatever you decide to do, I'm sure you two will have a great time!

Or just stuff 'em in a locker to avoid the trek.

Thanks! We will be staying across the street, so it's a fast walk. We will be going in late November so I doubt it will be too hot to wear a wig. I just thought it would be a fun thing to do on our first vacation day. It's all ears after that.

Cast Members can sometimes be less than consistant on how they enforce the rules, so I would absolutely call and make certain you get someone's name who tells you that it's okay before you risk being turned away at the gate.

Thank you! I love the thought of wearing a character wig. I'm a kid at heart.

Asked my friends the name of the cosplay and it is Lolita. Those wigs are very stylized and "doll like" which is why they said they probably weren't allowed to wear them... to costume like.
