    Club 33 for 33

My husband just reminded me that my 33rd birthday is in a few months, capping off a pretty disappointing year of career failure (don't go into screenwriting, folks, especially if you're a woman who wants to write sci-fi.) It's been my dreams for years to go to Club 33 for my 33rd birthday, but I've yet to find anyone who can get me in!

Before you all start yelling at me, note: I'm not asking and not begging, but like the writer that I am, looking for a little vicarious enjoyment! Who has great stories about getting their wish granted and going to Club 33 (pre the enormous off-center window, of course.) Any great engagement stories? Wonderful wedding anniversaries? How excited were you when you finally got the magic "yes!" to a reservation?

I may not get to make my dream come true, but I'd sure like to hear some of yours to try and cheer myself up!

Keep your chin up... Remember the things worth having in life are worth fighting for and are not easy to achieve.... The rough patches, the moments of face in the much and kicks in the pants are just tests to see how bad you want it... To see if you are going to stay down or are you going to pick yourself up and dust yourself off and keep fighting for what you want....

Wish I could help with Club 33 though... Best of luck to you!

I have been offered reservations twice by two very generous members - I couldn't believe my luck as I figured it would be something that would never happen.

The first time we went, we were able to celebrate my parents' 33rd wedding anniversary! The second time, I was just a couple months shy of my 33rd birthday.

33 is obviously a lucky number for us - maybe my brother, turning 33 a few years down the road, will luck out for us another time!

Hmmmm so hard to imagine one invite, much less more. A neat blessing indeed! I completely agree with reading the trip reports. I love reading about the amazing experiences with the quintessential Disney fan opportunity. Perhaps one day

My son celebrated his 21st birthday there, and a few years later, proposed on the balcony of Club 33. And I was able to spend my 50th birthday there!
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.

I was gifted a reservation from a very generous member out of the blue. It happened to be my birthday the day that 'X' contacted me, what a great birthday surprise! I actually thought it was a joke and 'X' had to contact me a second time to convince me that he/she was legitimate. This lovely person just enjoys sharing the 'magic' with others. It took some finagling to work out the details ('X' had to convince my DH it was a legitimate 'no strings attached' offer, silly hubby!) but at last things were set.

BFF and I had dinner at the club on our last night at DLR. The perfect end to our wonderful 'girls only' trip. We dressed up (Yikes! heels on Main Street? Watch those tracks!) and felt like two princesses. It was a night neither of us will ever forget. From the moment we pushed the buzzer to the time a staff member escorted us to Main Street through a quiet, empty NOS & Adventureland it was just pure magic. Our meals were fantastic. I have dietary restrictions and my meal was the best gluten free meal I've had to date.

I'm sure 'X' knows we were grateful, but sometimes you just can't express it completely. I wish I'd had the words to tell our benefactor just how wonderful it all was.

Sounds amazing! I like that idea, getting dressed up to go have an amazing one of a kind experience.

My wonderful wife and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary there last year. So thankful for the opportunity now that the original is no more.

I hope you get some pixie dust sprinkled on you for your 33rd!!!
