Although I think Bengal BBQ adds to Adventureland themeing and atmosphere, I think having an expanded, two-story River Belle will be better for the park and for hunfry crowds.

I'm sad to see Bengal go, but I'm all for a two-story River Belle...

However, if you do start a letter writing campaign, be sure to tell them to move the Bengal menu over to the Riverbelle or somewhere else if they insist on getting rid of the Bengal BBQ

    Re: Save The Bengal Barbecue!!!

I was told that if we write or email enough they might reconsider....that was from someone higher-up. I am all for saving Bengal BBQ. Tell me where to write and I am there! We should be able to have both a larger River Belle and keep our favorite BBQ place. Maybe they can just slightly move it. I mean the bigger River Belle IS going to happen but if they are thinking about keeping the Bengal BBQ then there must be some alternative plan someone is working on....

Seriously they have like the best cheapest in a hurry snack. I love the skewers. Hopefully they can find somewhere else for it. Why not take out one of the stores in Adventureland.

I agree...I'll definetly sign a petition or something.

They can take out one of the sections of those stores across from Jungle Cruise or Indy...I'd say they could add it to the Dole Whip thingy but not enough room...

    Re: Save The Bengal Barbecue!!!

I think I'll have the Bengal BBQ today.

This makes me sad, but it's a long time coming. Even when I worked at the BBQ they were talking about demolishing it and expanding Riverbelle, which is much higher on the Foods priority list.

Bengal BBQ was my second home... after getting away from my first (which was Stage Door Cafe). I met a lot of really cool folks there, some who are still there. I'll miss that place.

You know, I've never eaten anything from there, but when I pass by the smell is wonderful. I will be eating there this weekend.

So I'd sign something just on the SMELL alone!

Bengal can go the way of the dodo. Food quailty has severly dropped since the outsourcing of all food prep... frozen, pre-skewered chicken and beef instead of fresh. Canned sauces instead of fresh sauces made daily in the main kitchen. I don't know what happened to the breadsticks.
The Save Bengal campaign should have started 10 years ago.

No more bacon wrapped asparagus? *sniff*
I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it.
That explains the trouble that I'm always in...

    Re: Save The Bengal Barbecue!!!

I sent an email from the Disneyland website. I was told they had no plans to close BBQ at this time, but that could be loosely interpreted. I view it more as expressing my support for BBQ, rather than an actual assurance they will keep it.

Buy BBQ! Maybe with enough profits they'll keep it!
