Did Pixar model Ratatouille's Linguini after Chef Andrew Sutton

Alright, it's no secret that John Lasseter loves Disneyland and he's probably the closest person who's ever come close to filling Walt's shoes.
Someone at Disney Dining mentioned to me that Linguini from Ratatouille was perhaps modeled after a young Andrew Sutton. I laughed it off and never gave it a second thought. After seeing this, well, what do you think? I'm still leaning towards pure coincidence but let's face it, the similarities are striking. It would certainly be wonderful if Pixar did pay homage to Chef Andrew.

I think the food created by the cartoon evoked emotion and culinary ecstasy. Thusly... not.

I wonder if Andrew would give the impromptu culinary work of his garbage boy a moment to shine in his heavenly glow.

I really hope DLR gets a new executive chef soon... I really dislike just about every dish Andrew Sutton comes up with.

You know, I've been dwelling on this a bit and spoke to a cast member who worked at Napa Rose where Andrew cooked for John quite frequently. John is a wonderfully nice fellow and extremely polite to cast members, so this rumor is beginning to seem well founded.

    There is a resemblance.

Just to add I enjoy Chef Sutton's dishes and it appears many Yelpers do too. So I think he will be around for awhile.

I've always enjoyed the food at Napa Rose over multiple visits and the menu as a whole - trying to make the Club 33 menu reflect what Napa Rose does, however, maybe not be the best idea, but doesn't mean Sutton is a poor chef or cook.

Very good point, you're correct. Andrew is a great chef but he does need to listen to members and understand how the club has always been ran in the past. Ol' Marcel, God love em', always listened to members and would create wonderful custom dishes per request.
I have a number of friends who used to love 'The Marcel Burger' and they have asked for Sutton's version but were denied without even an attempt. I know it's silly, but hell, it's Disneyland and keeping guests happy should always be a major priority
