    Re: Favorite Smells in Disneyland

Ya all know the water in Pirates and Splash are the same thing, its all circulated through the dark water system!
Only difference is the the water is more enclosed in POTC so the smell is stronger...so basically everybody like the dark water, just don't drink it!

The pumped in Vanilla smell on Main Street, and the Popcorn machines!

    OK, POTC also!

OK... I'll admit it. I actually rather like the smell of the trams and Autopia.

Wow, now I know i'm not so weird for liking the smell of POTC. ^^; Also, there's a strange musk present in The Haunted Mansion, too. I dunno what it is, but I love it. xD

    Re: Favorite Smells in Disneyland

Its absolutely amazing how everyone loves the smell of the Pirates water... and count me in on that one, too. I think my second favorite is the smell given off by the engines on the Railroad.

I know I'm going to be excommunicated for this one, but I wish churros tasted as good as they smell! Love the smell, but a mouthful of sugary dough just doesn't do it for me.

My favorite is probably the popcorn. No matter how full I am already, getting a whiff of the popcorn makes my mouth water. I'll have to pay attention to the smells next time I'm in Pirates to see what you guys are all raving about. But one smell I definetly don't enjoy is when you walk over the curb in Main Street and you get a whiff of the stuff in the sewer. Yuck!

I don't believe this is accurate. The Rivers of America and Jungle Cruise share the same water, but that isn't the same water that is in POTC or Splash.

The pumped vanilla on Main Street and the hydrolic smell of Star Tours, that is a great "you are back on vacation" smell.

Gee, I don't feel so weird now about liking that smell in POTC. I think it's a combination of the smell of the water & the smell of the building. Splash may have the same water, but the experience smells different because it's not entierly indoors.

I love the roses in the park too. I know they're roses, and you can find roses in many places, but I still love to stop & smell them...especially the Disneyland roses that are in Town Square.

The smell of hot oil, steam, grease and diesel smoke from the steam engines of the Disneyland Railroad.
