Has anyone else noticed this on SM?

This past Saturday, 02-11, we were at the park, and finally went on Splash Mountain for the first time since the new logs went in. I remembered this ride being fairly smooth in the past, but this time, the log we were in kept hitting bottom, sometimes pretty hard. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes, the new logs give a very rough ride, less floating and more banging.

Is that why there is a predictable Thud, Thump, Bloop, at every drop?

Yeah, it bumps alot. It doesn't hurt as bad as the Matterhorn though.

The logs seem to bang the sides during tight turns a lot too. I'm always worried that we might get stuck in a turn. It's probably impossible to get stuck in a turn but I would be lying if I said it didn't cross my mind everytime I rode it.

if you sit in the front, it'll hurt your rear at every lift hill... you won't feel that thud if you sit in like the last 3 rows.

It got stuck once and flooded the DAC'S that contol the animatronics, that why it was down till new dacs to replace the new waterlogged dacs could be installed.. now that was before the new rubber guards, now its bumpy, verses flooded computers!

-Hmm, it actually hurts me in the back, rather than the front.

    -The turns do frighten me.

not to mention that the back rests are great for popping your back and such. I LOVE me some Splash.
