New Orleans Square because it is so incredibly detailed in its themeing - so easy to get lost in the themeing and atmosphere. Absolutely incredible.

Adventureland and Main Street were a close runners-up because of the same reasons.

Flame me if you will, but I have a VERY soft spot for Mickey's Toontown, followed by NOS, Tommorowland and Main Street.

Pssst.... POTC isn't closed yet. You've still got a couple more weeks.

I voted for Adventureland, but it was a tough choice. I love NOS, but I really enjoy the exotic feel of Adventureland. I just wish it had better flow-through!

I've got a soft spot for Toontown also. I love the whole way it's laid out. That and Fantasyland seem the most magical to me, especially with Fantasyland's music.

Adventureland is really good atmosphere-wise, but I still like Tomorrowland. Not as good as pre-Astro Orbiter Tomorrowland, but I still think all the buildings line about against each other well. Gotta love Space Mountain back in white too.

Interestingly enough, my favorite land in Florida's WDW is Liberty Square as well. Guess I'm a bit American patriot or something.

    fantasyland.
    I don't consider Main street a land.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I voted before I read this, and was surprised that the land I voted for was winning by so much! Adventureland is a close second with me also.

i love adventure land. I don't know. They way the place looks just makes you feel like you are really in a jungle village. Plus, Indiana Jones is there and that ride is awesome!

I completely forgot about NOS when I voted! My two top favorite rides are there and I picked Fantasyland--only because it does make me feel like I'm a kid again, I mean the whole park does that to me but not as much as Fantasyland.

Critter Country is my favorite, closely followed by New Orleans Square, and then Adventureland.

    What's your favorite?

Re: Favorite Land at Disneyland as it is in the Present.

New Orleans Square is definitely the one for me too. Not just because I like to blindly follow the crowd either...

I was actually planning to go to the real New Orleans, when Hurricane Katrina hit a week before we were to fly out. As a result, I spent an extra week staying near Disneyland (yeah, poor me...heh). Disney's NO has all the charm I was expecting from the real French Quarter, and with its restaurants and jazz bands it's certainly the classiest part of the park.

It actually stands out as a distinct concept in the park, as the rest of them have this grand and sweeping vision of a 'fantastic' ideal (Adventureland's bazaar-like atmosphere, Fantasyland's pure... well....fantasy, and Tomorrowland's distinctive vision of the future). New Orleans Square sits unassuming in a corner between Adventureland and the Rivers of America there, and invites you in to just take a stroll around.

Despite the relaxed atmosphere, it still has two of the most famous - and most enjoyable - rides in the park (POTC and HM). In this sense it combines the two best aspects of Disneyland: the pure escapist and fantasy-driven adventure rides and a relaxed and safe 'old fashioned' place you can take your whole family to. It is no wonder it has the most votes so far, as it is a microcosm of everything great about the park.

Similarly, I'd vote Main Street a close second for its 'stroll-ability'.

I said Main Street. I just love the bank, walt's apartment above the firehouse, the bakery, the emporium, and how you can see the castle if you look down the street.
