just thought it was interesting, but if you look at the concept art of dca,

there are spotlights all over.... ALSO sorta interesting...but off topic..look at what may have been built inthe esplanade, but never actually happened..sigh

    Re: Lights Over DCA?!?!?!

I was Driving home at about 2 in the morning on a Sunday and I also saw the Lights over DCA. It looked like they were positioning them for something because they were moving one at a time. It looked really neat from the 5 frwy I really hope that this will be a lagoon show DCA needs something at night (other then the electrical parade) - Kind of a side note but did anyone else enjoy Luminaria besides myself? I was only able to see it about 4 times and I thought it was great.

I was underwhelmed by Luminaria. Seemed like a half-hearted attempt to me.... which it likely was due to budgeting issues. Plus, as Al mentioned in his recent update, there was an awful lot of smoke for the audience to contend with. Sounds like spotlights (maybe lasers?) is the way to go!

At one point in the demonstration the Orange Stinger was transformed into a giant Christmas ornament.
They are creating a show for Christmas so that it will help to dimminish the "dangerous" fireworks crowds at Disneyland. They are hpoing to make it good enough where people will want to stay and watch it.

Wow, DCA looks pretty awesome in that picture! You can tell that DCA was meant to be opened at night, it's lit up so beautifully.

I can't wait to see this new show. I really hope they don't just throw something together to distract people from Disneyland. The show's purpose needs to be to entertain people. If it achieves that, then getting people out of Disneyland and into California Adventure will naturally happen.

Ya I hope its a new show. It has to be, because certain people said it was for a "private party." I dont think that is the case, because usually ODV is there and has a cart open or soemthing; but there wasnt. hmmm. Plus they had other light fixtures that can be placed on the beams on California Screamin However the lights are gone now. They were there for about close to two weeks, but this past weekend there were none to be found backstage. *tear* oh well, I hope its a show! haha
