    Re: Are dole whips overrated?

I absolutely love Dole Whip... they satiate my thirst on a hot summer day at Disneyland every time! I don't think they're the best ever ever ever, but I love them!

Their worshipped status here on MC can be questioned a bit though.
Well, light travels from the sun. Then, bounces off of our planet, and back into our eyes so we can perceive color. My body can intercept that light and dance around on it!

If I recall properly my cousin has worked at both WDW and DL years later. The cream stuff brand is diffrent at the two parks. I'll have to email and ask him but I do believe that is what he told me.

Oh no, I meant why would you buy a Churro in Disneyland when you can buy one at Costco, because don't they taste the same?

Sounds like the line being set at a sportsbook in Nevada...Oops, are we allowed to talk about gambling in this forum? (LOL) If so, I'll definitely bet the "over"...

    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

    Re: Are dole whips overrated?

Had my first Dole Whip on Sunday. The taste reminded me of those push-pops I used to get back in the day. A good taste. But I think the biggest thing the Dole Whip has going for it is its texture. A+++ on being creamy and smooth. Mmmmmm.

But the Butterfinger Brownie is still the tops.

Of course they are. But they are delicious. And you can only get them at Disneyland, so if you have a craving for one and can't have it because you aren't at Disneyland, the wait until you can finally go is ridiculous.

Can't wait to try one ... it just hasn't been warm enough to really justify something cold lately. But mark my words, I will try the Dole Whip!

I do like Dole Whips, but just know that you're eating total garbage. I was hoping that they'd at least contain PINEAPPLE JUICE!!!! And partially hydrogenated soybean oil is one of the bad ones. (Do I get the Debbie Downer Award for today?)

    PINEAPPLE FLAVORED DOLE WHIP
Ingredients: Sugar, Dextrose, Pineapple Crystals, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Stabilizers (Cellulose, Locust Bean, Guar, Xanthan, Karaya Gum, Pectin), Sodium Silico Aluminate, Vegetable Fiber, Citric Acid, Artificial Flavor, Sodium Caseinate (A Milk Derivative), Mono & Diglycerides, Sodium Citrate, Salt, Dipotassium Phosphate, Artificial Color Including F.D. & C. Yellow #6.

When I'm in a tropical mood...

    HAAGEN-DAZS PINEAPPLE-COCONUT ICE CREAM
Ingredients: Cream, Skim Milk, Sugar, Pineapple, Egg Yolks, Natural Coconut Flavor, Natural Flavor, Rum.

    DOLE PINEAPPLE
    Ingredients: Pineapple

my last 2 visits i noticed the dole whip tasted a little bit blander? anyone else notice this recently? it was like they "watered" down the flavor.

It's not about the actual Dole whip!! Its about the experience. Disneyland, happy, hot, Dole whip, cool inside the body.... Heaven!!!!

Just like most people don't share my fondness for a good choc. covered strawberry in the spring and summer.... late at night, on the way out after most of the people have gone home (the hour after closing), standing in the middle of main street... just you and the castle all lit up... it is the best thing you will ever eat in your life..... it makes all your senses go wild! You can't wait to return and do it again!!

    my 2 cents!
    I'm addicted and I don't care!!!

    Re: Are dole whips overrated?

On my last trip my father was craving ice cream, but the gibson girl lines were to long. So, I took him over for the dole whip. They said they were refreshing, but knowing I did not think they were they best thing ever I tried a dole float instead. The dole float was pretty good and I would have it agagin, but the whip by itself is just not that great...IMO..

Also, while filling the whips they leave this huge hole in the middle of them...screwing people...IMO..they cliam to weigh them, but we watched and they were not weighing them....Just somethign we noticed as we sat and had our whips and floats...
