Re: What is going on with the Mickey Mouse pancakes???

I ate there a week ago this past Friday morning, and we had no problem whatsoever. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty, and there was a line. The griddle cook, however, was fast, fast, fast. And it was fun to watch him at his craft. He clearly took pride in what he was doing.

being one of those MCers that day, I also had a mickey pancake, first time ever that I can ever recall, and mine was just as cold as Barry's was.

Pretty sad. I've been to DL all my life and I don't know where to get these. -__-
RiverBelle Terrace - in the area near New Orleans Square and Frontierland....which, way back in the day, I believe was Aunt Jemima's Pancake House...

    Thirded.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Wasn't Aunt Jemima's over near where the Mansion is now?

Wow, this is horrible, it just ruins the magic not being able to watch the pancakes being made, but add insult to injury, being served COLD pancakes. It's the little things that are cherished.
    ...it's been a long time.

Disneyland historians please help me out here, and I'll be the first to admit it if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that Aunt Jemima's did eventually become RiverBelle.

I thought the Haunted Mansion was in a newly developed area...but I know there were other things like an Indian Village that existed prior to NOS opening in the mid-60's...so I could be wrong. And sorry for derailing the thread a bit.

    -Barry

PS - I was only a kid then, of course, but I don't remember getting cold pancakes at Aunt Jemima's. Don't remember if they served the Mickey-shaped ones there.

No excuse for not doing it the right way...crowds or no crowds...it is a pancake. I use to love watching them make them as a kid from the other side of the glass. Makes me a bit sad to think that they have to cut corners on something like this.
