    POTC questions

    I got some simple questions.

    1) Why, in the caves you ride through at the beginning of the ride, do you hear pirates clearly singing "Yo-Ho" when there are no pirates around? It doesn't make clear sense.
    2) Why do you go straight from a swampy bayou on a calm silent night and then all of a sudden journey inbetween a pirate battle? Is it suppost to make us feel as if we wen't out of the safe and calm boundary lines and entered into dangerous and uncharted territory?
    3) People say the old man on the porch also appears in the jail scene. If that is true, why does he make two appearances?

Sure people can answer all the questions by saying "It's Disney Magic", but I wanted to know if there are reasons in the story for why these occur.

    1. Doesn't mean you can't see them doesn't mean there there! it's sorta like the beginning of a movie it get's people excited.
    2. I heard it's like the guy you pass that is rocking is falling asleep and you are entering his dream.
    3. I am not sure about this. some people also say this guy looks like Lafite(sp) In which the landing in which you board is named after him. Lafite(sp) was a pirate or something

I think it's like a great que to get you to the attraction room where the pirate ships are at. Now there is only one, but the dialogue was never changed. That's just my thought.

This has been a Filmways presentation dahling.

So perhaps if we are entering his dream, is he dreaming of when he was a pirate? If so that would make sense as to why he appears two times in the ride. Thanks .

Well there was a real pirate I think that some people say that he looks exactly like him. That pirate got that loading are named after him.

One of the pirates in the Jail Scene (one of the grey haired ones) was modeled after a Janitor that worked there.

    Re: POTC questions

I think I have the answer to Question #1:

The walls aren't were thick and the Yo-ho seen is on the other side.

    -I'm not 100% sure though...

That's the other people on your boat singing (they're real pirates btw) Didn't you notice.
