What Classic Attraction would you Update to the 21st Century?

Since Bob Iger feels the need to update the Haunted Mansion into today's modern times, if you had the choice, what attraction would you choose to update and in what way?

Star Tours needs to be updated, and from all the posts that have been done, it looks like thats happening in the near future.

The dark rides in Fantasyland need to be redone and made more 'Interactive' to keep with the times.

I think TSI needs attention badly. They could overhaul the entire island and make it one of the best outdoor island activity areas in the world. They could open up the caves and make them move interactive. Redo Fort Wilderness and upgrade the guns to be able to actually hit targets, like the gofers in the old train. Maybe even add an attraction of it's own.

EDIT: And I think the classic ride that needs the most updating is the DLRR. But I'm not sure what I would do.

I'd say that some of the dark rides could definitely use a spruce, with more sophisticated AAs and effects. The DLRR dioramas could also stand to get some updated AAs, and it would be nice if there were a little more to look at on the duller areas of the trip.

Adventure Through Inner Space: Reopen, overhaul it with a lot of updated technology.

Hey, it's my favorite ride that I've never rode! I want to ride it in *some* form!!

I think that Splash Mountain could use some technical updates.
I kind of wish they'd slow down the ride a bit too.

Slower? It's already one of the longest rides in the parks! I dunno.. find it to be a pretty good speed for a normal ride.

Why would you want to go down the final splash slower?

Got to be JC. I know they just added a bunch, but could always be improved. Perhaps letting the Skippers get off script and into some really good humor would help too.

Hmmm... I didn't know anybody had seen the new Nemo ride yet. MUST be bad if there are complaints before it is finished hee hee. I kid because I love the Internet. (Subs was my favourite ride when I went there as a kid, but I think the new technology is going to make it rock hard).

Given the epic scope of the Hong Kong Disneyland Jungle Cruise, it would be interesting to see some of the original updated, special effects wise. Some of those natives around the place are starting to look a little dodgy. However, most of it holds up fairly well.

I think that Disneyland works best when the changes are organic. A new technology develops, and is either used in a brand new ride/attraction or a place is found for it in an existing attraction (such is the case with the POTC and HM changes). I'm not sure if it was the author's (DL_CRAZE) intention, but the line "Bob Iger feels the need to update..." implies that not only is this an arbitrary decision, but Disneyland's classics should remain static. While I agree that the classic rides are classics for a reason, they will only remain classics if they are still relevant to modern audiences. Changes continued to be made during Walt's time, and if he were alive today, he'd be 104.

He'd also add that Disneyland will never be complete as long as there is imagination left in the world. I don't think the 'essence' of any of these rides are going to be changed. They will still be POTC and HM, just with a few cosmetic and auditory adjustments. Personally, I hope that every ride changes over the decades - because let's face it: if Disneyland still looked like it did in 1955, there wouldn't be quite as many people there.

The DLRR definetly. Not necessarily changing the trains, but there are certain areas that could really be changed or updated. The Grand Canyon Diorama should get a definite update and have the effects rebuilt and animatronics rewired. The areas behind Tomorrowland (i.e. Autopia) could get some new scenery (the Agrifuture could be removed).

I would like to see maybe some updates to "it's a small world": such as new sets, so it doesn't have a warehouse feeling with clouds on the ceilings (like the ones in Disneyland Paris), "Big Thunder Mountain": an onboard soundtrack would be definite wish that I would like to see, "Enchanted Tiki Room", keep the original show, but maybe like the Country Bears have a holiday show..

Do we really need to make a list here?

    1. PeopleMover.... Where are you? Are you some distant memory? Or lost in the transition? Now just an empty track slipping off unto the far reaches of what once was and should be again...

    2. Carosel of Progress... What happened to you? You used to be full of inspiration and song... Now you are a second rate RadioShack...

    3. Magic Eye Theatre... Show me what digitization can do, shrink me to the size of an atom and beyond...

    4. StarTours take me to Naboo... With a clear picture... Let me avoid temptation of the dark side by an evil emperor who has lightning emersing from his fingers...

    5. Oh memories of CircleVision... How it was to stand and be surrounded by an evironment... What would it take to bring you back with digitial prestine quality...
