My trip on the Lilly Belle...

I went to the park this past wensday(good times) so me and my friend were about to board the train i asked one conductor if there was anychance in hell i could possibly ride the Lilly Belle and well, he checked for me and me and my friend had the entire caboose(sp?) to ourselves! It was really awesome cause the conductor that was in there with us told us the ENTIRE history of the Lilly Belle and after i just felt honored to be in there. It was awesome. I didnt take many pictures, but as you can tell, i was so excited. So here are the pics!

Greg was your conductor! He's practically my big brother! I was there yesterday chatting with some friends at the Main Street station, and when I counted heads and realized there was an extra in rotation, I asked to ride the Belle, and Greg took me around. It's really wonderful in there.

I, too, got the pleasure of riding her last night (Tues). I was there to renew my AP, and figured, what the heck.... it never hurts to ask.

Well, I got her all to myself!! And..... the conductor also gave me a ticket.... but left it blank. So, I now happily possess a mint condition Lilly Belle ticket.

If you're angling for the Belle, try a weekday. I couldn't even get on this past Sunday when all my favorite conductors were working, but when I stopped by the station on Tuesday, I only had to mention that I'd never ridden it, and I was invited aboard. Keep in mind that VIPs, tour groups, and Club 33 all get precedence, absolutely no one gets on when it's raining, and they can only put a group on the Belle if there's a conductor free who can escort them, which only happens between rounds of breaks. It's not impossible to get on, but as word starts to spread that it's back online, it will start getting booked more and more and will have fewer openings for regular guests.
