What is it? I know it is a change from Space at night but what does it consist of? Thanks in advance!

Re: Rocket Mountain

Thanks in advance? Of what? Of us riding it? lol...

No one here has been on it since it won't open for another couple of months, and I have a feeling those that might know aren't really permitted to say very much, so I'm not sure where you're expecting us to give you information from.

Do a thread search or google it; its probably your best bet at getting any information at all.

Re: Rocket Mountain

The giant (hard to see)astroid you go next too on the third lift hill probably has something to do with it. I'm sure they'll have better lighting for it. I'll let you know when I see it first on Grad Night

Re: Rocket Mountain

Rockit Mountain. Lots of information and prior threads about it if you use the "Search" function.

Anyways, it's basically an nightly overlay of the current Space Mountain. Different effects, new music, etc. etc.

Re: Rocket Mountain

Well, the Disney Grad Nite Official Site has more information regarding Rockit Mountain.

http://disneylandgradnite.com/home.html

I looked at it a few weeks ago, and it said it would feature a song by the band "Hoobastank." It doesn't show up anymore, so I hope it was just something for Grad Nite.

Re: Rocket Mountain

In 2005 Space Mountain was reimagineered for our 50th Anniversary Celebration. But for your Graduation, Disney's taken it to the next level. Exclusively for Grad Nite 2006, you'll be among the first to experience Rock it Mountain with a rockin soundtrack and awesome light effects that turn the classic Space Mountain into an out-of-this-world sensory blast! You've never experienced Space Mountain like this! Climb in, buckle up and hold on - the launch of Rock it Mountain is a "GO!"

Re: Rocket Mountain

Hmmm ... interesting.

On that site there are 6 different tracks. I wonder if it is going to change.

Re: Rocket Mountain

^I think those might be songs which they are playing during Grad Nite itself. I hope so, because one of those tracks was a rendition of 50 Cent's "In Da Club," which should never even be classified as a song.

Rumors have it that it's initially a Grad Nite thing w/ a official opening later which
is still TBA.

The words "sensory blast" make me think that it's going to be way different than it is now. It'd be cool if they somehow worked in a binaural sound track system to make it seem more like a 3D space environment.(Like hearing a comet swoop above or below you from one side to the other)

Re: Rocket Mountain

yuck, disneyland looks like a big giant dirty nightclub, and do they actually lets the kids do the "bumping and grinding" I think grad night activities belong over at like knotts or something. Disneyland is a treasure(Walts gift to us) and to have a bunch of dirty drunken teenagers run about the entire night, and getting intimate with some random chick, i think its appaling

Bah humbug.

Grad Night is a SoCal tradition. And trust me, teens are getting drunk and doing bad things at Disneyland on days other than Grad Night.

Let the kiddies have their fun, they'll have to grow up soon enough.
