July is long gone by the time the holiday overlays appear.
I'm a little baffled- why in the world do we need to worry about everyone else's visit? It is not my job to fret and fuss over whether someone else scheduled their trip correctly, or if they have a good time. I fail to see why we can assume that people are going to be upset about the overlay if it is their first time- and come on- DL does not exist in a vaccum.
It is one thing to be respectful at the park to make sure those around you enjoy themselves- it is another to make preemptive assumptions about their trips. When you make plans to go to DL you should check the refurbs and other schedules to make sure it is the best time for you to go- do your homework.
We won't please everyone one way or the other-
Walt said Disneyland would never be finished. He said it would always be changing and growing. If we are going to remove, or "not do" certain things, then I guess they better remove The Haunted Mansion altogether - out of respect for the 50th and to commemorate the way the Park originally looked. Actually we had better remove all of New Orleans Square for the duration of the 50th as well... it was not even an original land!
Good God, why are we debating this overlay AGAIN??? Lord, just put up the overlay (which they are gonna do no matter what we say) and move on to something more exciting. Like those white chocolate raspberry cookies they sell at the park... yummy!!!
