No Details about the Movie Premiere event have been announced, not even that it will happen on the 24th..

Matt Ouimet has confirmed that Disneyland would host the premiere event, but has not announced the date.

But since Disneyland has just released a new operating schedule from May and June, and that Disneyland does close at 5 Pm on the 24th...

Re: Disneyland closes at 5 PM on June 24th!!!

This is completely different from the last premiere. Disney only closed down New Orleans, Adventureland and Critter (maybe Frontierland, too. It has been a long time and I am getting older), while the rest of the park stayed open. The park was extremely crowded that day. Since I worked in the park on that day that during my lunch I walked Main Street to see the all the guests lined up on the red carpet (this was around 12:30 in the afternoon and I was lucky enough to wear a costume that was considered blendable). From all that I am reading it sounds like the folks who are coming to the premiere might also get to have the whole resort or they are holding the screening somewhere other than on the Rivers of America like they did for the last one. It was great that the guests got to line Main Street for the last premiere, I heard nothing but great things about it from some of the guests who were able to be there.

I will be anxious to read the post from folks here when the event happens.

Man, that's a bummer that the red carpet event won't be open to the public! I was just mentioning to Wolfy999 last night that I was thinking of camping out on the sidewalk for that!!

How am I going to tell my daughter she won't be able to see Johnny!?!?!??!

Once Again, there has been NOTHING reported on the actual event!!

Nobody knows yet if they will allow park guests to watch the stars going down the Red Carpet, or even if they wil have the Red Carpet in the park....

Only Time Will Tell, and I doubt you will hear much about the actual plans until late May or early June.....

Re: Disneyland closes at 5 PM on June 24th!!!

Has everyone here totally forgotten what they did to the Cast Members who worked that Premier Event for the first Pirates movie? The fact that during the showing of the movie all these CM's were kept virtual prisoners with guards outside in an area behind barriers, given a totally lame boxed lunch thing and then kept there until the movie was over so they could once again appear to escort people out of the area? It was an awful thing to do to CMs who jumped at the chance to help, thinking they might get to see the premiere of the movie and then were treated worse than servants? It was all Jerry Bruckheimer's fault and Pressler and Harris went along with it. I wonder if they will get any CM's to work this event after what they did last time. Only the very new and clueless ones I guess.

According to the new reference guide, the Blue Bayou reopens June 22nd, and Pirates reopens June 24th. I'd say that's a pretty good bet of when the premiere will be.

I've also heard rumours that this year, French Market will host the event over the Blue Bayou. This... breaks my heart. If I don't get to meet Keira Knightley (the subject of so so so many non-Disney-friendly dreams), I will probably cry every day for the rest of my life.

WooHoo. I booked the Grand for that weekend in the hope that the Premiere would be held then. I do remember there were rumors that the park would close at 6.00pm for the last premiere but park guests were able to stay and watch the red carpet arrivals, hopefully it will be the same this year.

Maybe they'll roll the black carpet out over there...

OOPS - SORRY -yet another shameless, senseless slam against the beauty, the grandeur, the Pressler, that is - Disney's California Adventure (LOL)...

    My humble apologies,
