Smile Living in a Roland Hill Sleeping Beauty castle

Today's LA Times Real Estate section has an article on a house for sale in the Hollywood Hills that was designed by Roland Hill, who later designed the Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland.

I wonder how many other "storybook" style homes he designed... I know there is a website out there of "Southern California Storybook Homes" but when I looked at it I didn't know the Roland Hill-Disney connection.

So anybody with $1.6 million to spend could live in their own 1927 Roland Hills home.

If you've ever been in one of his homes or live in one, hope you'll post here. And if anybody has a link to that Storybook Homes site, please post that here as well.

I saw that also. From the picture I was not impressed with the home. I do love the idea of a house having a seperate guest house though.

Yeah it's a small home, more "Storybook cottage" than Sleeping Beauty Castle, but I think mainly you're paying for the Hollywood Hills real estate, I'm sure it has a view.

Anyone know where I can see a picture of it? That's cheap for a Hollywood home. There's houses here in Tustin/Irvine that cost more and aren't worth it because of the boring crap area.

I don't think Irvine is a particularly crap area myself. It depends what you are looking for what is being considered in terms of the value, like location, jobs, education etc.

Irvine is boring to me. Maybe living here since I was a year old did that to me? I just wouldn't buy a house here, they're too much for what they are. I've got dreams of living near the beach anyway (god I hope I write good screenplays).
