    E-Stop Effects

I've seen these mentioned every now and then throughout Mice Chat threads and I was just curious about if we could start compiling a list of either confirmed or "educated guesses" e-stop effects.

For those that aren't familiar with the term, from what I gather, these are effects in a ride that must be working properly or they shut the ride down.

This, naturally, makes me curious as to what the ones in Disneyland (and DCA, for that matter) are.

Although it wouldn't always be an e-stop since that means "Emergency" Stop (followed by an evacuation)... Normally an attraction could just be cyceled out (and then closed to fix the problem) if a certain show effect isn't working that should be.

Not trying to be too pickey, just some information about the difference.

It's referred to as "cycling the ride out" and going 101 due to show conditions. Different attractions have listing certains show element(s) that must go out in order for the working lead (or manager) to authorize a cycle out followed by a 101.

Well, in that case, what rides have those, and what effects on those rides could cause them?

I'm assuming if a major animatronic breaks down? Or if, for example, Leota's projection in the Mansion went on the fritz... I don't know though... Theres probably a list for every ride.

Speaking of show effects going out - the Indy animatronic at the end of the attraction after the boulder was shaking pretty bad on Saturday, as if he had Parkinsons. I didn't notice it today, but I don't remember really paying close attention during that part..

If you go, I'm going faster since I blurted out "Parkinsons!" to my friend when I saw him shaking. Loud enough for the people in the row in front of me to hear. Talk about insensitive. Oh well.

Good, because I'm going to hell faster than you can say "aborted fetuses are sexy". Anywho, I would think the bolder room in Indy would be a pretty big effect to leave stooped.
Also, one of the lead birds in the TikiRoom?
But than again, there's this drummer tiki thats been broken since I was 7 still sitting there.....

    Re: E-Stop Effects

Every attraction has an e-stop, however it is just that - an emergency stop. This is never used for bad show elements. 90% of e-stops are automatically triggered by the ride system while 10% would be by a CM in an unsafe situation (usually caused by a guest in the ride path or behaving in an unsafe manner).

^Thank you. E-stops are all about the safety of the ride, riders and ops.
