In the very early days, the Autopia cars were not on tracks. Early in the mornings, some of the employees would race the cars up and down Main St. One morning, Walt caught them and gave them a tongue lashing... then walked away laughing to himself!
"Yesterday, a man walked up to me and said, 'Isn't it a shame that Walt Disney couldn't be here to see this?' and I said, "He did see this, that's why it's here."

The small bronze statues in front of the moat of sleeping beautys castle ( not the hub statues) are used for light lazer effects for the 50th fireworks show.
Lets see:
-Coca-Cola provedes Disneyland with free Coke products, as long as it doesn't sell any other brands.
-The City of Anaheim provides Disneyland with Free Electricity.
-Mickey Mouse never appears in two places at once.
-The Metal thing under Sleeping Beauty Castle is the center of Disneyland, or where they first broke Ground, one of the two.
By the way, I don't vouch for any of these, they are just what I have heard since I was a kid. I don't really trust the Idaho rumor Mill![]()
The truck in front of INDY was used in the Film, Raiders Of the Lost Ark, and the ore car was used in the film The Temple of Doom.

This is actually no longer true, from what I understand. Disney does still get a pretty good discount on their $5 bottles of Coke though....Originally Posted by Snakus

Now for my top ten list:
- Walt originally wanted Disneyland to be called WalMart.
- "Queue line" is a redundently repetitive bad form of English.
- The original plans for Pirates of the Caribbean was to have the pirates eat the tourists whenever the ride breaks down. This would've been a protective measure to make sure people don't go around the Internet spreading tales about how PotC broke down.
- The Skeletons found in PotC are former Disney animators that participated in the animator's strike.
- If you were to fill one of the tea cups up with real tea, you'd probably be spending a lot of time in the Fantasyland restrooms.
- 52% of APers born between 1964 and 1983 were conceived in Adventure Thru Inner Space.
- Abraham Lincoln has about five dollars in pennies in his pocket.
- Never order the garmanbozia at Blue Bayou. It's not a valid food item.
- Small World CMs really find it annoying when you point at them right between the eyes just a half inch away from them.
- The auctioneer from PotC also runs a Disney Princess escort service.

Fred Koerger, one of Walts earliest Imagineers that worked in the Model Shop, used to urinate on the copper roofs of Storybookland (while still under construction) in order to get the copper to oxidize more rapidly.

When POTC first opened, some of the skeletons were real skeletons! They were later replaced with replicas.
