In search of the infamous Monte Cristo!

With the BB now closed for refurb, where did the Monte Cristo's get moved to. I heard here a while back that DL would offer the deep fried delicacy at an alternate restaurant inside the Park.

We're going to the Park this weekend for a week, and need to get our fix for the trip.

Are you allowed to share the Monte Cristo with someone? I'm asking cause some restaurants don't like sharing. And Monte Cristo is HUGE!

I heard they were to be served in, I think this is the name, New Orleans Cafe. It's that other sit-down restaurant in the land. Or is it a buffet style? Honestly, I've never been in that Orleans Cafe.

Whenever I've gone to the BB to share with my boyfriend, they've never said anything, and they'd provide us with two plates.

Yeah, they do allow you to share.

And I've heard around that Monte Cristos are usually relocated to Cafe Orleans, the restaurant across from Le Bat En Rouge. Don't know if they've been moved over there though. Other rumors point to Cafe Orleans closing down for a conversion into a full-service restaurant. So if that is happening who knows where the Monte Cristos will go? The French Market, maybe?

We also plan on giving Bengals the business as well. Maybe the increase in sales might change someones' mind...

Y'know, Mimi's across Harbor Boulevard from the park serves a Monte Cristo as well... just in case it's not available and you really want one.

The recipe for the Monte Cristo was in the Disney Magazine a year or so back. If you're really desperate - you could try making one at home! I know it's not the same, but, when all else fails...

Been there...Done that.

It didn't work.

I was thrilled to see the recipe in the mag, but the results of our attempt just didn't do it for us. Missing something. Maybe the Disney magic???

And thanks for the Mimi's tip as well. We have a place in our home town that sells them too, but they just aren't the same as what we get at the BB.

And that is probably a good thing...
