Its not Chicken Little we have a problem with. Its the 5 story tall, inflatable Chicken Little HEAD floating above the Esplanade that is problematic.

    Its truly horrifying.

But, then again, we love most G or PG rated movies - just because it's something that I feel good about my kids watching!

Anyone, Chicken Little is very cute and sweet - give him a break.
Thank you! I at first did not have any interest in seeing the film before it came out but I eventually changed my mind and saw it last Thanksgiving in 3D and I loved it! It was a very funny film and the characters were very cute and I thought they did a pretty good job in animation. So it's a giant inflatable Chicken Little, big whoop. Get over it.

If I was an average guest, that promotional balloon would make me avoid not only the film but also D.C.A., itself.

The Hollywood area of the new park has too many billboards. And, the ones that are there are totally unlike the usually tasteful movie posters that actual studios do hang on their soundstages.

Oh come on, that Chicken Little balloon is the same thing like those stupid balloons of gorillas and pandas above car dealers. Do you mean to tell me that if you an average person who goes to DLR like once a year to maybe once every few years and you drove all the way to the park, you see that balloon and decide not to go in? Hardly doubt that. And as for the ugly billboards, yes I agree there is too many but it is in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area, correct? They're going to do their promoting where it mentions Hollywood wouldn't they??

Disneyland is not a car dealership.

Chicken Little wasn't terrible, but it was nothing special. Bringing back Chickenzilla to EAT OUR SOULS smacks of desperation, just like the original campaign.

    Have you SEEN it????

Again, this is not about the movie, this is about a ginormous disembodied chicken head leering over DCA. Its... kafkaesque.

There are two parks being offered at exactly the same price each. The disembodied chicken head is enough to make someone think twice about using the ticket at D.C.A.

I suppose with the "2fer" promotion, Disney doesn't care about the impression that the new park makes, though.

Overheard @ a TDA planning meeting...

Executive #1: We're thinking of bringing back the 2fer deal.
Executive #2: Great. What does Iger think?
Executive #1: He's for it. It boosts DCA's attendence quite signifigantly.
Executive #2: Splendid. One more thing...
    Executive #1: Yes?
Executive #2: Bring back the chicken!

    Noooooooooooooooooo!

i guess i have mixed feelings about it. i liked chicken little. i thought it was a cute movie & i'm planning on getting the DVD.

on the other hand, i the huge chicken little head in the esplanade was bit much. once was enough, i think. if they want to re-use/recycle it, i'm sure there's another area it could've been placed.

Yes, I have SEEN it!!! Once again, to me, it's no big deal. It's just a giant balloon advertisement. Since I LIKED the film, I don't have a problem with it being there.

Okay...to prove my point that this Chicken Little balloon wouldn't cause people to ditch their plans to attend DCA, I asked a few of my co-workers about what would they do if they saw this when they were heading to the park. Answers? Go in anyway. None of them have Annual Passes and none of them go as often as all of us do and none of them saw it as a valid reason to not attend a theme park.
