Need Help-How much would it cost me...

Hello Gang!

I budget for one personal trip each year. For the past four years that trip has been to a gathering with the DooWop clubs that I am a member of on the Net. However due to circumstances beyond anyone's control we will not be having our usual event. If I knew now what I didn't know a few months ago I would use the money to be in WDW in October with many of you. However that opportunity is gone.

I'd like to put a feeler out there and see how much it would really cost me to realize my longing to do Disneyland for the first time since I was four. A few notes: I live out in Atlanta, Georgia. I'd like to get out during the Summer. I think I have a place to stay (paging Wolffy LOL).

ok, it depends on when you want to go , but I found ickets and the whole thing for under 500.00 ! Motel, park hoppers and the plane. Its easy if you get the package at the right time.

May, I ask how much you have to spend? It might be easier to figure out how much Disneyland you can get for your money, if you work bacwards, sort of.

Honestly, if you have a place to stay, which you might, that's the majority of the cost right there. You can get ParkHoppers for fairly cheap, deals have 5 day ParkHoppers down to something like $125. There should be some deals coming in the summer for flights, and since you're traveling alone that amount won't compound because of fellow travelers. I think you could get away with less than $1000, once again assuming you have a place to stay.

It depends on when you are going and how long you are staying... where you want to stay... Here is an idea of a 4 day trip with, car, hotel, and 3 days at Disneyland/DCA (from Expedia.com) Just go out and start plugging your info in and it is easy to find a range:

I have between 500-800 to spend really because that is the amount I stay within when I have traveled to my DooWop gatherings.

Yeah if I have a place to stay that really helps cause I bet the hotels around there are pretty pricy especially in the peak season. Just hope and pray that souvenirs don't cancel out the money I could save on accomodations LOL

woops, forgot the park passes. but if you buy them first before you go, then no problem. you can do what I did, go to an agent, make payments on the package ( I did so I could get the meal plan) or you can buy the plane ticket now, then in a month or so buy the park hopper, then keep stowing away for food, the last check you get you could have plenty to take with you. If you polan ahead, you got it made. but piece by piece

has anyone heard of the Disneyland discount warehouse about three miles from DL? We shop there everytime we go and the prices are very inexpensive and it is all DL merchandise but it was sold in the park 6 months earlier.

Thanks to everyone with the help. I just found out this morning that the get-together wasn't happening so I am just going into the planning stages for a trip out there. I am not prepared to come to a final decision right away just yet.
