Kudos To The ESPN Zone

Especially since I have been openly critical of the quality of food inside the parks at the DLR, I wanted to give credit for a very good dining experience I had, admittedly outside the parks, at a Disney-owned restaurant last week.

I had been to the ESPN Zone at DTD a number of times, and the food has always been outstanding.

Last Thursday, when I was at the resort I met Mr. Lightyear999 (Tim) for lunch there. I was late for our reservation...yet two hostesses there made sure that we got a table in the studio grill TV room (where I hardly ever get in to).

The server we had was very, very attentive without being overbearing (having worked in food service, I know what a skill that really is). I wish I could remember the names of those involved...everyone was great!

And as always, the meal (starting with the "sliders" burger appetizers) was EXCELLENT.

And the prices? Not really all that bad for Disney.

Just wanted to let you know.

We enjoy going there after the park closes for some beer and video games. It's nice to be in a place that has drink holders at the games lol! We have always had a good experience there. I always figured if we were to move down and I got a job at DL, that my bf could get a job there waiting or bartending (he has 6 years experience, and he couldn't hang with the park I don't think). I agree with the kudos to the staff there! They even let us stay late one night when my bf was winning a race game that kept giving him free games, for about 30 mins! That was very cool.

We had a group of 9 yesterday. Another large group cancelled just as they took my name, so we got seated right away. I love their food and the wait staff did an excellent job. I have never had a bad experience there.

What a perfect time to visit ESPN Zone with March Madness going on. I am glad you had a great visit. We have one in Atlanta but it is downtown and i don't get down in that area very often and have never been to one. I wish they would open one up in the suburbs.

That is my absolute favorite restarant in DL Resort

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I'm not even a big sports fan, but it's hard NOT to get into the game when you're sitting in a big comfy chair in the TV room! Esp. in the summer during baseball season!

Plus the buffalo chicken sandwish and the pulled pork sandwich are both incredible!

The food is terrific! Definitely a must eat while in Disneyland Resort!

I've eaten there once and had some of the best ribs ever!

I've only been to the Manhattan/Times Square ESPN Zone, but really loved the service there! Their spinach tip is excellent!

Thanks for the tip Radiobarry, I'll have to finally visit the ESPN Zone at DTD for a change!

My boyfriend and I love going to ESPN Zone. The food is great and the servers go out of their way to take care of you. And for a little more than the cost of The Taste Pilots Grill, you can get a much better dining environment. Plus, free drink refills :) They have very good Arnold Palmers.

The screening room is great place to watch a game. The sliders rule and the beers that have on tap are amazing.

I agree to the kudos. I really love the ESPN zone's food. Best pasta I've eaten.

Best burger too!

Whenever I take the family into the city we have lunch at the Times Square ESPN Zone. They have a great view overlooking the street and decent prices... I find the small tv's above the urinals in the men's room quite amusing too.
