Disneyland Perks

How many little perks are there at DLR?

I know about:

Riding in the front of the monorail
Being a guest conductor on the railroad
Baking cookies (for the wee ones)
The Family that opens the park each day
Veteran of the Day during the flag lowering ceremony

What other special little perks are there?

Re: Disneyland Perks

I've seen these "honorary citizen" stickers in the park...I don't know how you get one, though. I'd figure it would be from watching the opening of Disneyland ceremony.

Oh, and of course, you can get tons of goodies for your birthday...the easiest being to get a Birthday Sticker and a call from Goofy.

Re: Disneyland Perks

If they are the honorary citizen stickers I'm thinking about, you get them for the early entrance into Toontown. Part of our package was the magic morning plus one day we got into Toontown an hour before it opened. About half way through the hour, the fab 5 did a parade and honored one family as the Toontown honorary family then handed out stickers to eveyone else and made them honorary citizens.

Does anyone know how a family can be a park opener? or ride in the parades? Iv'e always wanted to do that. I know the boy would love it as well.

Re: Disneyland Perks

We got to open DCA - you just have to be the first ones at the gate! We got the honorary stickers there - also, someone gave my son an honorary citizen sticker at the Buzz lightyear ride - I'm sure you'd just have to ask for one.

Riding the "tender" up with the engineers on selected trains.

Certain cast members will sometimes give out the "Honorary Citizen" stickers to selected guests. Vic got one from a janitorial CM who regaled a group us with Disney trivia questions one evening. Some who answered questions correctly got lollipops, Vic got the sticker.

Re: Disneyland Perks

I did not know that there was a veteran of the day in the flag lowering ceremony. I think that is a wonderful thing, and I am glad Disneyland does it.

Being a guest conductor on the railroad = You get to ride in the engine with the conductor.

The Family that opens the park each day = You get to push the button that starts the opening announcement.

and what does "Honorary Citizen" get you? = You get a sticker saying you're an honorary citizen.
