    Hollywood Tower Hotel

I'm curious- was the one in the movie a 'real' hotel, and does that hotel exist today? Thanks! It's been bugging me!

lol- I can't confirm it, but I'm pretty sure that the hotel in the movie isn't an actual hotel.

Funny, I don't remember seeing a thread of this sort. I did a search and couldn't find anything in the past three months. I'm curious now, would you mind finding that thread and re-posting it?

Also, I know we all like to promote usage of the search function, but there are much nicer ways to suggest it.

    Right, look familiar?
    Excerpt from STORMY WEATHER
Hollywood Tower was a seven-story, indecisive gray building at the corner of Franklin and Vista del Mar in Hollywood. The faux French Normandy apartment building was so old it probably had a view of the sea when it was built and dwarfed the burgeoning studios to the south as well. Back then it would have have been surpassed in height by only a few offices on the Boulevard and the Hollywoodland sign to the north, the latter erected by developers to promote the hillside lots they were trying to unload on sun-seeking suckers from back East. Somewhere along the way the LAND part of the sign disappeared, as did most of those smaller studios and vacant land, gobbled up by Hollywood Freeway, a slew of now-deteriorating buildings along the Boulevard and Spanish-language billboards that overran the place like weeds.

^ No the outside shots were of the Tower of Terror attraction at DisneyMGM studios in orlando. The inside shots were probably all filmed in a studio.

The internet movie database states that,

"Disney used this TV movie to test the waters of turning Disney Theme Park attractions into movies. What followed was Mission to Mars (2000), The Country Bears (2002), _Pirates of the Carribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)_ , The Haunted Mansion (2003) and others."

Disney should make a Hollywood Tower hotel for guest to actually stay in.
