The White Witch

Hey all,
I'm wondering where the White Witch (from Narnia) has gone to lately. I was at DL in January and they had a station set up just inside Fantasyland.
A friend of mine just got back from DL yesterday and said that she was nowhere to be seen. She was all sad about it because I had hyped it up before her trip.
Anywho... the reason I'm wondering is because I'm going back with some friends on April 8th - 12th and I'm hoping she will be around somewhere so my friends can see her.
Does anyone know what the status is?

I am pretty sure they took her out already.

Why would they do that? There were huge lines to see her when we were there. She was insanely popular!
Aggghhh, I just don't get it!

My guess is that she'll be back right before the DVD comes out and/or when
Prince Caspian(?) releases. If I remember the book correctly (it's been over 20 years
since I last read the series), she's in that one. (Some one correct/validate this, please!)

The White Witch is not in Prince Caspian, the only other book she appears in is The Magician's Nephew. In that book we get to see her home world and how she came to Narnia.

So are we to expect The Magician's Nephew after/if Prince Caspian is as huge a success as Lion, Witch & Wardrobe??

Or is Magician's Nephew the one with all the controversy??

I've only read LWW.

I'm with you....she was one of the most interesting, fascinating characters they've had. There was always a huge crown watching her and a long line of people waiting to see her.

She was just a strong charecter in the movie (the strongest) and so she made for a fun to watch in park charecter. It's too bad she's gone.

As for whom to contact to ask her back, I think the place to start is DL Guest Relations. Just ask where she is. My guess is that if there's enough request,
she'll be back right around the time for the DVD sales ala Chicken Little balloon. :-)

I've only read LWW.

I have a feeling they will go with the next book after Prince Caspian which is Voyage of the Dawn Treader....as that book has Edmund and Lucy in it (so they can use the same actors) and we get introduced to their cousin Eustace. It's a sea voyage type of story with lots of action, so it will definitely be made into a movie.

As far as controversy, I don't know to what you are refering to....if it's the so called "christian" allegories, then that's the first book, LWW....because of the whole sacrificing and resurrection stuff....which I personally don't associate with just christian mythos as there are plenty other legends and myths of sacrifice and resurrection....but that's just my 2cents. ^_^

Oh, I meant there's a concern over this one narnia book about racial stereotypes. I'm not sure which book it was.

Voyage of the Dawn Treader sounds like the way to go. What happened to the other 2 siblings? Or do I have to read the book to find out?
