    Splash Mountain Secrets!! (with Pictures)

Well I went down to DLR for a few days and while there on Easter, we got kicked off of 2 rides in a row. First Splash Mountain and then Indy. Then we went over to Thunder but it had shut down as well...anyone know why? I managed to take some pics on my way out of SM...

This is where we got stuck...

Then they loaded us off. I got to high five brer rabit!

Kinda blurry cuz I took it while moving, its just a dump outside, there was a fake deer and lots of machine parts

Work station...Pooh walked by moments later.

It was also really flippin crowded...

And to top it off I saw Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite while I was in Tomorrowland!

That turn is what's the jam on the new logs. Theyve gotten longer by a few inches, and they jam up around that turn, due to being so back heavy. Guess the Water Dummy test didn't prove much....

Great pics. We were there Sunday as well. I was scared to death when we got there ad saw the entrance lines all the way over to the DCA entrance, But all in all it was not the busiest day I have seen. The weather was perfect.

I dont know what was up with those rides we hit SM, Indy and BTMRR as soon as we got there.

I will say that my experience on Easter was that they were not letting folks sit in the far back...<sighs> What poor engineering. I know they are doing it to get ride count up, but still...

Slightly off topic, but my friend Pamela used to have Pedro in her acting class. His real name's Efren.
    I lurk.

I was on splash when it broke down once like 10(!) years ago and it's so funny, as soon as I saw those pics, I remembered it completely looks exactly the same.

dramaqueen, seeing those backstage areas really takes me back too!

I was on Splash Mountain once when it broke down. We had gone over the final fall and had collected at the bottom, before the final scene.

Is it bad that, as we were led out, that I was trying to sneak away to look at the pumps, piping and gauges?

Now do you all understand why we don't tour backstage? Its dirty and gross! Ok, I'll get off my soap box now...

You know, in 44 years, I have never been escorted off an attraction!
I have heard about it on Space Mountain, and others, but it has never happened to me.
