Also keep in mind Imagineering is also involved in almost every detail of park design all the way down to landscaping. Their are story imagineers whose duty it is to make sure that new trashcans, benchs, plantlife fits into the overall theme of an area, so even if Imagineers have been spotted nearby on the track while these walls are up, it could just very well be someone looking down on the planters and nothing more-

So does this mean you sit down in a ride vehicle and the spiel starts reading off some legal document about how the specs and blueprints for the Peoplemover can be freely acquired by asking any available Cast Member?

Oh.... No, I predict nothing. I would also not be suprised to see that whole structure demolished in 2008, but I have no source for that, it's just my own prediction.

I've also heard that the Peoplemover track is a favorite make-out spot for Imagineers...

I agree....my first trip to DL was last October and that darn Peoplemover track just looks tacky up there...they could, at least, get rid of it if they aren't going to use it.

I think cellarhound hound was refering to The Observatron, not the tracks.

If the track were to be removed, then I think the entrance track should be kept. The track is apart of how the area is shaped and framed.

Personally, I think it will come back. The track has been preserved too well. From stories of over grown branches being removed to not being touched in the BLAB building.

Maybe they'll turn the people mover track into a planter with hanging plants/vegetation like they have in Epcot and tie it into the other vegetables in tomorrowland....or even better....make it a smoking platform for smokers.

I agree with the idea that the Peoplemover tracks are vital to Tomorrowland, as it serves as a "mini-berm" to Tomorrowland. Otherwise, it would look like Tomorrowland back when the park opened with no track above.

It would be very weird thinking of Tomorrowland without the tracks IMO.

The same thing happened to me today. It's because I ran out of quarters.

Re: Something GNU is coming to the Peoplemover track....

I loved the Peoplemover, I miss the Peoplemover but come on once you rode it once or twice, would you ride it again? It was just a SLOW moving "ride" that let you waste time due to long lines or because you ran out of E-tickets and all you had left were A-tickets (or something like that....) It was so exciting to ride it cuz it was the only thing you could ride when all the good ticket rides ran out!

I am not sure they should be putting money in to a ride that was just a time filler. It's not like we want to go through and see people standing in line for Star Tours and since they took the glow strips off the cars in SM we wouldn't be able to see those either. Do you remember going through the tunnel with the race cars shooting past you? That would be so cheesey now don't you think? We wouldn't get to see ATIS and the big microscope and the atom mobiles.

I would love to ride it one more time too... but I'm not getting my hopes up.
    I'm addicted and I don't care!!!
