Which Cafeteria should go Buffeteria, New Hunger Movement

Here we are, the fourth poll. The first poll showed that Disneyland Diners find the offerings of poor quality and value. Second poll, that quality could be found, but only the knowledgeable park goer was likely to get a good bite without draining the trip budget. And last time, voters mostly felt that the Cafeteria's of the park, with the mid low pricing and their honest but not fancy grub should get the sparkle and shine first. So now, I want to know which Cafeteria's you think should get an upgrade and why?

Cafe' Orleans is already going full service (supposedly).
Riverbelle is rumored to be going under rehab soon.
Redd Rockets is still rather new although we never eat there.
French Market needs some menu upgrades as we never eat there either.

Yes, I believe that we all heard the rumors that Riverbelle Terrace is going under rehab because of the bad PR that it will be eating up the Bengal BBQ. i think the Village Haus is in deperate need of a renovation. Eveytime that I go there, it feels so dirty to me. Not that it needs better cleaning, but everything is old and the service area seems a little cramped for the amount of people they feel they can get in there.

I like the setting and the seating, but the ordering area can certainly use an upgrade.

I agree, Hungry Bear. Ordering has got to get easier. If it was, we'd eat there more often.

i think the Village Haus is in deperate need of a renovation. Eveytime that I go there, it feels so dirty to me.

i totally agree. it needs a new menu & a new look.

i personally love french market, but it is really small & cramped inside. also, i have noticed places like french market & plaza inn are really hard to navigate for people who are in wheelchairs & for parents with small children. i think more table service places would help.

I have nver eaten at the vilalge haus...it does not appeal to me at all. We love the french market though...so that gets my vote........

as a village haus cm, i would totally say it needs it. in the last 23 years, it's only had one major rehab. and that was years ago. it's way overdue. there's been a rumored rehab for the kitchen area, but then again they told us that we would be going down in feburary, and it's now almost the end of march. so we'll see. i make the vote for village though. too bad there's not enough space around there to expand it. there's just no room, so it'd have to be creative space planning.

I would say Village Haus needs the biggest improvement. They need WAY better food and a place that does not feel dirty.

I would say that Pizza Port needs a layout change. It is just way too popular for how short the cafeteria queues are. You have to constantly hold the tray and there is no place to set it down while you are waiting.

If they refurb Village Haus please for the love of God remove that Pleasure Island wall...

It gave me nightmares as a child...and now it is still there to haunt me.

I love the Hungry Bears Fried Chicken Sandwiches. That's what I'd like to see expanded. The seating area is great!

Tough choice, but Village Haus got my vote... the food's gross and the amosphere's not so good.
Hungry Bear at least has the atmosphere but the vegie burger leaves much to be desired and its wait times are horrible.
But the Haus is more centrally located as well.

THe Village Haus needs some major menu change. Based on the theme of the area I dont think they have burgers or chicken nuggets in the Alps or whatever theme that area is set to (Switzerland?) I really dislike eating there but if Tomorrowland Terrace or that place accross from it is busy we go there as a last resort.

I should be ashamed for having set up this poll to vie against Village Haus so drastically. Personally, I wish they had done a Buffeteria there and then left Casa alone, and I know I am not the only one. It seems though that they would make more money with a buffeteria anyway, am I wrong?

Here's a crazy idea, why not take Hungry Bear and turn it into a full service? Can any cast member chime in on this? Does the area have enough kitchen to accomodate? I think a nice big restaurant would attract more groups to the area, increase the foot traffic to Pooh, and swamp up some of the crowding for Splash. Plus, with that beautiful view you couldn't beat the opportunity cost. If I could be served on a warm summer night, outside, with a view of the river at dusk, I would save up to pay a little more.

And I think if the park really looked at their potential to make the AP's spend on those frequent visits, then improved dining is a key element, a lot more then merchandising.
