    Prejuidice at Disneyland?

Yes..the happiest place on earth..it happens.

Have any of you ever had it happen..somebody saying something or doing something? For me..well one was while I was a guest and the other while I was working.

I was walking down Main St. with my date..we were holding hands in the Fireworks crowd. While Crossing the hub..this young kid leans into my ear and says "If Hitler was here you would be dead" and then some other choice words for Lesbian..before shoving me. Needless to say, with what I do at Disneyland..well what could I do?

honestly, people are going to be stupid and judgemental no matter where you go...every minority will feel it wether it be race belief sexuality or anything....overcoming the stupid people of the world is what minoritys need to focus on, rather then dwelling on what others think...it's your own damn business...not that kidsto just ignore him, he donesn't know you

btw...no i've never had something like that happen...i'm not a target generally....hetero, white, female that is pretty clean cut so i don't get much beef from people

that just makes me angry. I guess Stupid people are still going to be stupid at DL. I have had some prejudiced moments towards me because of my size at the happiest place on earth. Ranging from snickers while I get on a boat or just stares as I walk around. People are going to bring their stupid ideas with them too. I wish that DL would just magically erase those unkind thoughts from peoples heads. What you experienced though, that has no business being anywhere; especially at DL.

it wasn't prejudice, but one time I was walking down main street after the snow and I have naturally curly hair that had been straightened and it was now frizzy and poofy...well, someone walking past me said "nice hair" all mean...my daughter was about 8 or 9 at the time and she got all sad and it made me feel sad that someone made me and my child feel bad...yeah...my hair got frizzy and poofy...if I can deal so can you....

Oh I'm sorry that you had to experience that. I'm not gay, yet I still hold my sister's hand everytime we go to Disneyland, and nobody has ever told us anything or looked at us weird. Just ignore those stupid kids.

I'm sorrry that happened to you KC! No one should be discriminated against in DL. Race, creed, culture, sexual preference, age or anything else I missed.
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

Yes, I have noticed a bit of prejudice going around Disneyland. It wasn't caused by Disneyland, but by the park goers. Many rambunctious teens and sometimes kids think they are funny by making rude comments. No comments have been directed toward me, but I have overheard many and just wonder how those kids are being brought up. If this ever does happen to me, I will most likely report this, just informing the staff of my personal incident and the activity that is going around. Hopefully, we can bring up the respect of the younger and make Disneyland once again joined together, no prejudice involved.

    Disgusting, just disgusting.

I'm sure you handled the situation with class OSG (much better than I would have in the same situation, I'm sure).

Sorry to hear it and that is just purely rude. It's just truly sad that people act this way. I guess the irony in the whole thing is that this ignorant fool can come to Disneyland and make stupid comments like this without any regard to the fact that the Mouse had been run by a Jewish man by the name of Eisner for the past 20+ years. Ignorance knows no boundaries, but remember he gets to go home to his house of hatred while the rest of us our enjoying our lives.

Chin up, smile, you'll never see him again (yeah)

Whoa! Eisner's a Jew? I didn't know that! I mean, I know we control the entertainment industry , but I always thought that with a name like "Michael Dammann Eisner" he was German!

Edit: I did a quick search regarind Eisner's Jewishness and the only websites that say he is are anti-semetic sites like National Vanguard and JewWatch.org. Now I really wonder if he actually is Jewish, or if it's propoganda from these hate groups that has gotten into the general public. Interesting....
