    Closest Casino to Disneyland?

I don't know if this is the right place to put this.

We decided to head to Disney this weekend. We will be at the parks on Friday and Sunday, Saturday is a Blackout day.

We want to maybe hit up an Indian Casino on Saturday but I'm having trouble finding the closest one to the park. I'm thinking it's probably Pechanga but I'm not sure.

    Thanks in advance.

I doubt it's the closest, but I hear the Commerce Casino is a good one to go to. It's off the 5, north of Anaheim.

I think it is Pechanga, which is in Temecula, and then there are a group within a 1/2 hour to hour drive of Pechanga (Pala, Casino Pauma, Harrah's Rincon and Valley View in the northern San Diego County).

The other way, San Manuel in Highland is the closest off of the I-15, north of the I-10.

That is a "card club", where you can play blackjack, poker, Pai-Gow and others, but you have to pay a fee to the casino, and another player is the "banker".

I think Sir Clinks was looking for an INDIAN casino, where you can play card games with no fee, and also slot machines and video poker.

It depends on what you want to play. For poker, there is Bicycle, Hustler, and Commerce, all pretty close.

I'd go with Pechanga for slots and other table games. Seems pretty nice, visual-wise, on the commercials.

Have you gone to Chumash, north of Santa Barbara?

    Well, I just used Mapquest....

San Manuel is 56 miles from the DLR via freeways

    Pechanga is 66 miles.

But I still prefer Temecula and Northern San Diego, as there are a lot more choices in a reasonable distance, instead of just going to San Manuel. The next closest casinos to San Manuel are Soboba in San Jacinto (70 miles from the DLR), or the casinos near Palm Springs on I-10, Morongo is the first one you come across.

That's where we 'were' going to go on Saturday until we decided to head down to the resort.

Thanks for the tips everybody. I think we will just go to Pechanga.

Once again, a "card room", where you can only play cards, and have to pay a fee to the house for every hand, and is not a "true" casino. (An Indian Casino offers most games, including slots and video poker).

I think the Hawaiian Gardens Casino is the closest if you are looking for a "card room", less than 13 miles from the DLR, just off the 605.

Commerce is over 19 miles, Hustler is about 25 miles.

There are no true casino's in LA or Orange County. The casino's such as Hustler and Commerce in LA are card clubs only. The closet true casino is Pechanga in Temecula. There is Barona also and then a few down near San Diego.
